Question about mator Smash and sexlab mods

So I've been using Mator smash and sexlab with (seemingly) not much trouble and i though this was fine until i saw a thread where people mentioned that smashing sexlab mods is a bad idea.

Is this true? I'm talking about mods such as sexlab, zaz animations (the new one by tara), devious devices and all of it's basic addons and a couple of others that use saxlab as main mod.

Mator Smash adresses a problem that most Sexlab mods have only if they have a bug or the author made a mistake. But mostly, not.

In general, smashing is a good idea.

In special, some SL mods are quite old and buggy. Newer SL mods work around these things, maybe patch a bit, stuff like that. Smashing could potentially be a bad thing for those.

Best way to know for sure is 1. smash it 2. have a look at it 3. decide if you want to go with the smash or not

I never had any issues with devious devices zaz and sexlab however i did and still do have issues when applying gags on npc's. For some reason zaz doesn't kick in. I mean their lips do take the shape of the gag but they don't sound muffled at all. There isn't even a dialogue thingy that comes with zaz.

The other thing that i've also excluded from being smashed are the many anims depending on slanimloader modules and the two fnis plugins because they are contain animations.
