Tiress Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hi guys, I'd like to ask for your expertise and advice once again, because I just can't figure this one out. I will first describe what is expected to happen and then what do I have problem with. Also sorry for the wall of text. ? When my character stands still and I turn the camera to see her from the front, then if I press "W" to move forward, my character should turn about 180° in an instant and move forward in a direction camera was headed. Video below shows perfectly what should happen. Also if my character had a weapon equipped on her back, it should move with the body in an instant too. https://sendvid.com/ks1sg62a Now imagine the weapon to move in an instant while the body is turning much slower this time, out of sync like if the two were not attached to each other. I think I don't have to explain how ridiculous and immersion breaking it looks. There are 2 conditions that need to be met for this to happen: - hdtSSEPhysics has to be installed - body that supports physics has to be installed (I tried 3 and was able to replicate the issue every time) If one of the two is missing, everything is fine. I tested it with following load order + Havok fix + engine fixes: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm HearthFires.esm Dragonborn.esm SkyUI_SE.esp FNIS.esp RaceMenu.esp RaceMenuPlugin.esp XPMSE.esp I believe I installed everything correctly, run FNIS etc., I don't know what else to do to fix this. Any ideas? ?
Tiress Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 Recorded example of how it behaves with vanilla armor without physics support. -> http://sendvid.com/lflgddnk And how it behaves with just the body (or armor) with physics support. -> http://sendvid.com/45odwmm4 Notice how the bow moves with the body while the quiver instantly moves to a position the body has to reach yet? Two handed axes, swords and hammers behave the same way as mentioned quiver. I went as far as completely reinstalling just about everything in case I had corrupted files or something. No change.
Alunder Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 I've been trying to find a solution to this problem for a few months, which we can see so far is that SMP Physics is causing this smoothed 180º rotation, but only when equipped with SMP physics. (body, clothes, hair etc) It would be really interesting if there was a way to bring back the natural vanilla turn movement (even if the physics go a little crazy) or maybe smooth out the rotation of the unsheathed weapons. Well.. let's wait for someone with the ability and patience to work on it.
