What's the best way to activate any animation on demand?

I'm getting a bit confused here. ZAZ has a tab called "Animation Test System", and Sexlab has a tab called "Animation Editor". I can not find any way to get the zaz one to play an animation, and I can usually get the Sexlab one to work but but it always has to be with the player character included. Is there an easier way to do this?

Also suggest sexlab tools. You need to set a key in the MCM, then it is pretty easy to set up whatever you like. Actors will also follow you while in the queue (your list of what you want to happen with whom) so it is pretty useful in many normal situations too. Clear the queue to release them.
