Sexlab Broken?

Hello! I've installed Sexlab as the last of my mods, and instead of working as intended it will go through all the steps to install and even prompt me it's finished, but no animations will play and the characters will simply continue as if nothing had happened. The MCM menu does not even update, I'm sure I have installed the right version with everything updated, ran FNIS, and the only conclusion I could come to is if Sexlab itself was having errors. Looking around over forums I see others have had this issue too, many to no fix. Is this mod functioning properly?

I have been working for the past few hours on mods and this is the only one that I have found errors with. With my game so close so completion, it is too tedious to delay myself enjoyment further and try to fix this myself, but a fix would be very appreciated not just for myself, but for the others experiencing this problem as well.

sexlab has been working since it first started and after the last update v1.62 on 3rd June 2016 it's the most stable version. if u are having problems i'll suggest u have a good look at your setup because of the majority of us 99% its working as intended!!!

Thank you very much for your response! I've checked over my setup, played around with the load order with that specific mod, and ran FNIS plenty. The other threads that encountered the same issue as mine one were either left unanswered or were lead to a different discussion, so I was unable to find a solution there. Since all other mods work fine except Sexlab, I am struggling to understand how my setup may be the cause.

Have you tried disabling all of your other mods except Sexlab and its prerequisites, starting a new game, and seeing if it works then? If it doesn't work after that then its possible that you just need to re download/reinstall sexlab.

sexlab is a framework, which other sex related mods work off, it's like the father of all sex related mods, so in your case, you should just install skyrim legendary and sexlab, it's easy if u are using mod organiser.

 

when u first install sexlab it's disabled, u'll have to enable it via mcm, during that process if any errors it will show up via mcm or via console too, perhaps you should turn on Papyrus logs too and post it here.

I can't really imagine that, or you had really bad luck with your choice of other threads. What i don't answer are threads like "It doesn't work!!!111" because from somebody who wants help i expect at least a bit more information. Actually i'd expect even a bit more than that, but that's the minimum.

Things useful (for me to help you) in general:

- a load order

- if it has anything to do with animations, FNIS output

- maybe a papyrus log, but imho that's rather for quite specific stuff like a certain bug in a certain mod, in your case it's rather because you fucked something up than a mod not working.

 

The most common reasons for "characters stand there and do nothing" are that

- didn't install FNIS properly

- didn't install the skeleton (properly)

- didn't run FNIS

 

Those three cover >99%, and then there is maybe one case every two or three years that is actually more complicated, how to do it depends on mod manager but there are guides for every one.
