Futanari Is The Way Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Having had performance issues without even an ENB in Skyrim SE, I'd been thinking about starting over with Oldrim. That said, even when I used 2k & 2k/1k textures and Enhanced Lighting and FX, my fps dipped below 30 often. It could have been Skyrim Flora Overhaul, as well. I'd like to start a new modded Skyrim LE game without retexturing everything, but aMidianborn and Noble Skyrim, along with textures for character and NPC bodies are a must. Not to mention a halfway decent ENB preset to stop them from looking like porcelain. I'd like to build my sex stuff around OSex instead of Sexlab, focused on a futanari character. I know it won't look great, but could I get decent performance and beauty out of my current low end midrange rig? AMD-FX 8350 4.0GHz processor 8GB DDR3 RAM (I know, aside from my 2012 CPU probably the biggest issue currently.) GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card Also, last time I tried just installing body mods and Floppy SoS with OSex and an ENB, my framerate was ass for some reason despite having a similar HDT-enabled setup before with far better performance.
dankmemesxd Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Dont go hard on textures. Use SMIM and noble skyrim light version, also use an enb performnace versions of enbs, like seasons of skyrim etc... and dont forget about configuring your enblocal correctly, it gives a huge fps boost, if did correctly
lordgdavid Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 My last cpu was an fx like yours. However poor skyrim's performance is due to the old af engine, a better cpu would improve things. But upgrading this rig only cause of skyrim would not worth it imo so your best bet is making sure to tweak with mods and settings.
Pauduan Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I ran Oldrim on a RX460 occasionally, and that is about 5-10% slower than your card. The textures should be optimised to 2k or even 1k. 1k textures are plenty and your system should easily handle them. A quad-core should be fine and yes, though the CPU is old I wouldn't consider it the primary problem. I've played it on an i3-2120+RX460+8GB DDR3, and still manage smooth gameplay with a well-optimised setup (45fps avg, 35 minimum, all indoors are 60 stable). I use Truevision ENB, it's very light and allows for smooth gameplay as it uses the older .113 dll. Also SMIM with half-size textures (also plenty). Noble Skyrim, if used, should also be optimised. I would stick with SMIM and keep only the basics. I wouldn't use SFO on that level of PC. It needs a hefty amount of horsepower, specially in Falkreath up up north in the marshlands.
Cataclysimz Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Weird... Pretty sure a GTX 1050 ti is more than capable of running both games at 60 fps.. something's bottle necking the GPU, pretty sure it's your CPU! i'd recommend an upgrade.
