hey all - I have an i9-7900x CPU and wanted to know if a 120 AIO water loop would cut it (no overclocking). its a 140w TDP and I have a Corsair H55 120mm on it now. I can't find any TDP ratings for this AIO but i'm sure i'm going to have to go up to at least a 240mm unit. any thoughts?

Personally I prefer to use smaller fans but more than one for the liquid cooling system.

Less noise.

140w of TDP are not big at all, and usually any recent liquid cooler should handle it pretty well.

I'm about to install everything so I was trying to get some feedback before I built it. wow so a single 120mm AIO will be enough huh?

In my config I usually use double 180mm fans. 240mm are too noisy for me.

If you have enough space on the case to install it, prefer a dual or triple fan liquid cooling system.

The new generation (the 9th) of chips is being released but probably in another month.

And looks like it will not be compatible with gen 8th motherboards.

Personally I think generation 7th and generation 8th were good. But very similar.

i9 is the overpowered version. the i7 are still very close.
