Kojigawatz Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 So, recently, I've been trying to mess around with NifSkope to edit some custom armors a little.... I've found videos that detail being able to remove whole pieces of the armor... but I can't seem to find any video about adjusting the armor itself. Example - If you a jacket that isn't opened, but you'd like to make it so it is opened (ie the 2 sides are parted, revealing torso/belly), is that something easily done in NifSkope, and if so, is it as simple as clicking some points and dragging? I'm trying to find kind of a tutorial guide to this prior to me really messing with anything, but oddly enough, I seem to be having some difficulty finding exactly what I'm looking for. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction of a tutorial online, or give a little guidance in regards to this? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Guest Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 NifSkope is not really built to edit the meshes. Editing the vertex in it is a pain. You can export the mesh you want (NiTriShape or similar) as .obj and then edit it in another tool. Then re-import it.
shaidien Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 You are going to want bodyslides and outfitstudio plus maybe blender to change that much of the nif. Use 2.79a and get the nif.addon and folow directions for installing them this way no obj.needed. because that way is hard lol.
Swe-DivX Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Start with Bodyslide, and lern to move and split meshes.
