a simpel question?

i have a question.

im not asking to anoy,troll,be smart or stress anyone. simply asking cos im confused.

 

after some time the only sex mods we have seems to be Adult Show, AP, minilover and the last one i cant remember.

 

but they all seem to be WIPs for sketches of great mods.

 

i loved the sexlivion mod for oblivion. it had great animations. and played them out through a little minigame that increased your skills.

imo i like that bette than dead looping animations.

 

my point is. it seems that the people working on these mods have slowly stoped.

so is there a loose rumor or maybe even some facts about how the state of moding is looking right now. is anyone working on something. or has the idear died?

 

and once again im not trying to offend anyone. or be negative for that matter. simply just looking for answers

As far as i know, creating new animations for skyrim or adding new ones isnt easy as bethesda did some interesting design decisions (as always).

 

Therefore it slows the process, i have also seen plenty of modders saying they wont bother as it is just a pain in the ass...i could be wrong though.

 

Keep in mind that modders are humans too, they have their irl stuff going on and busy with work and other things...im grateful for anything they put out.

 

Im not lecturing you though, i know, you know...sometimes big projects or even little ones take forever to do...

i agree with you. those out there who take the time and has the skills to create mods. i salute you. i have tryed my selv and F&%k it is hard. so i respect you for doing it

 

and the reason i ask the question is that i heard a rumor saying that the only one still working on the project is the guy behind AP. but rumors are rumors.

I dont know about the rumor as i havent lately been watching the modder scene, but i wouldnt be surprised...no matter how good a modder is, they will loose interest if its a pain to make mods.

 

I seen plenty of modders returning back to oblivion modding, as it is esier to add animation and other stuff it seems.

 

Sometimes im asking myself if Bethesda wants their game to be moddable or just fixable, so modders can fix their shet, many times it just looks like the second option, as they always throw "barrels" under the feet of modders, making stuff difficult to mod...then again as i said im not expert on this and i could be wrong.

ASX and ML do seem to be stalled. ASX has not been updated since Skyrim 1.5, so there's no guarantee it works well with Hearthfire or Dawnguard (although people still seem to be using it). There has been no known update to ML, and one of the last posts I read here said that the author is no longer working on it, but you can never tell. AP is also stalled at this moment - according to Josh he hurt himself on the job and makes using the computer difficult. Niruin's business plan is still updating. DocClox is taking a break from SSG and Sexrim. So yeah, it appears the most sex mods are kind of stalled at the moment. However, I don't think things are completely bleak. Fore is still updating FNIS and the amount of mods using it has quadrupled in the last 2-3 months. Hell, even Josh is recommending using it with AP instead of his own patcher. Granted no additional sex mods, but with FNIS, the Bethesda butchering of the animation system seems to be solved. So I think it will pick up again. Finally, remember Skyrim is not even a year old yet, and Oblivion took time to get to a usable level.
