Deviously cursed loot not activating on NMM

Recommended Posts

DCL is pretty huge and NMM struggles to install huge files

might also one of those issues:

- you have installed skyrim on windows root drive c:/ and file protection prevents the install

- your HDD/SDD is nearly full

- steam is updating a game in steam folder

- virus protection prevents install

- the more zip files NMM has to store and maintain the slower it gets (i had over 1200 mods in NMM and it realy got slow during install deinstall of huge mods, slowdown starts by about 350 - 400 mods on a HDD)

you could try this:

- run NMM with administrator rights

- deactivate virus protection

- remove DCL completly (deinstall and delete) => close NMM => restart your computer => start NMM => add DCL again and try to install it again

- make sure steam isnt updating other games in the steam folder => this prevents NMM to write files in steam folder

- NMM needs a lot of hardware ressources to install huge mods with many files/folders, dont start to many programs in the background

- sometimes NMM isnt updating the install process %, give it some time, like 10min, if there is no progress the installation was borked and you have to deinstall + delete DCL, than close/restart NMM before try again

- you could reduce the size of the DCL zip file by splitting it and combine it again during NMM installation (careful with that one because of the fomod installer, its possible to remove the bodyslide files you dont need from the zip before adding it to NMM)

best is to not install skyrim and NMM on windows install drive

i had the same issues as long as NMM/skyrim where installed on windows root drive, since i moved to another drive that issue didnt happen again

and if nothing helps you might want to update your NMM => grab NMM from GitHub: NMM Releases

NMM stopping at 50% and not telling you jack shit is a known problem.  The download itself is complete (that's the first 50%).

NMM is refusing to install the mod because it found a dependency of the mod is not installed but that POS software doesn't bother to TELL you the problem, it just stops.

As a general rule you shouldn't use shit like NMM to perform downloads, much better to download mods using a browser and archive them away so you don't have to download again when NMM inevitably craps all over your game and requires you to purge and start over again.

So as far as I know I have all these...unless it has a problem with me having Zaz 7.0 and 8.0 plus for SE and I know I have all the requirements for the other programs. For it to barf on something it would have to checking the mods against something which would at least allow you to double check and make sure you didnt miss something. I don't think I did though because then some of my other stuff wouldn't work.

DCL for Legendary Edition (at least) doesn't require ZAP anymore, and none of the links given in this thread help you for SE. You need completely different - converted mods from the Skyrim SE area of LoversLab and nexus special edition.

yes all those mods came from lovers lab. The links aren't there but they are all the latest and SE versions. I will try to remove ZAP. Wondering when Devious Devices installs on SE does it create an MCM Menu, if so maybe it is something with that because while dd is installed I am wondering if it is fully loading because no MCM Menu Item

it happen to me sometimes too, that NMM stops at 50% (all dependencies installed). so i do following : i extract DCL and create 2 new install packets - 1 for CBBE, 1 for UNP, choosing the body packet i use and install it. its a bit of work, but works fine.

Yeah I did that and got it to install but now there is some sort of conflict and the conflict might actually even be as far as something conflicting with Devious Devices. I have two questions and in essence its the same question but for two different items.

1) Is Devious Device supposed to have its own MCM item? If so, it's not registering

2) Is Cursed Loot supposed to have its own MCM item? If so same thing

Almost temtped to uninstall any Flowergirl MODS

You don't need Flowergirl when you have SL.

1) I don't remember how SE differs, but in LE you need to save and load game until DD shows up.

2) DCL's MCM shows up straight away when game first loads, but as is the case with all MCM mods there may be some delay until they register to it. There was even some console command to refresh the MCM: setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1

And this is wrong audience to ask for help, more knowledgeable SE people for this mod lurk there:
