Advice about transistion from first play through to second

So i'm about halfway through my first play through of Skyrim, i attempted to play back in 2011 and played vanilla for like 2 days before i found mods but had a terribly under powered laptop and spent 3-4 months and never made it out of whiterun without game breaking issues and constant ctd's, the learning curve of noob modding and having a acer laptop with integrated graphics and a job and family meant i did not  have time to fully learn how everything works. last year i bought a semi decent rig and decided to play the game i had always wanted to in it's full glory. after corrupting several builds of oldrim by total noob hijinks and ineptitude i began to wonder if i'd ever get there.  So i bought SE in desperate hope... now 4 months later im lv47 running 254 esm/esps 1 smashed patch with 447 mods operating + ENB and my game is so stable, yes i still get ctd's occasionally and i have the "remove all items" bug (which i have a work around for that works fine)  Great fps and my game looks damn incredible. for a balance between actually functional Game play with multiple followers, screen archery and adult entertainment. It's working well. Yay for me. anyway.............

As i added mods to my build i would always go back to the save before i installed if it gave me grief and have managed to keep it working however i have about 30-40+ esp's i have identified that basically do nothing or were used once or twice but are really superfluous and followers that are ultimately boring or generic, but i'm not going to remove them until i have finished this play through.

So what i want to do when completed is.

Method 1.

1. uncheck redundant mods from MO.

2. Install a heap of quest mods / new lands / More followers etc

3. restart my game from new.

4. i've started creating a bat file to complete all quests i have completed and none i have not.

5  i have extra dimensional storage installed to access all my armor weapons and loot etc. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19766?tab=posts

6. Character presets are saved in race menu.

7. Console command all perks, stats and xp back to previous levels.

8. Continue on as if nothing has changed in a role play sense.

Has anyone ever attempted anything like this?

Is there a easier / better way?

Is there a chance it will work? i'm kind of resigned to a complete new play through if it does not anyway.

To me this would be the cleanest way to bring my Character through into a extended world with out replaying Bleak falls barrow................again.

I have started the bat file in excel and am continuing it as i complete quests it's a bit of a chore and could be a waste of time.

i will back fill the missed quests form here http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quests when i can.

i really don't wont start merging plugins to make room for more quests this far into a game in case i wreck it. i am Noob yes i know.

Any advice is appreciated.

Note: i started out with LAL when i was testing my build but it was buggy as hell and kept crashing also too many compatibility patches necessary plus i only want 1 life but it too continue.

Edit: will triggered scenes like solitude opening (execution scene) Riften entry and other "proximity triggered dialogue/ quest events bug out ? .
