Ark of Truth Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I import my character's face from my save into a mod using bash. It worked great and the mod now has a NPC with my character's face exactly. Now to the problem. I gave the NPC a name, inventory etc. But when I run into in game with my male character she just stands there and does not move even after using Mad Companionship to make her move. When I first enter the scene she dies and I have to use resurrect to bring her back. If I am near her when going through a door she will follow jump with me but won't move to follow me, she will not move at all even after changing scenes. She will talk to people, turn to face, head track and do generic animations. Her race is Lattamer V3 http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/21608 Anyone know what is up with this? She has animations and all setup
gregathit Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 You might have selected an NPC that has a scripted death. If this happens their AI is turned off and that is what you are seeing. You "could" try using the console command to toggle her AI back on but I am not sure if that will work or not.
Ark of Truth Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 When you export the face to a mod, Bashs automatically creates a standard NPC to go with it. It's that NPC which is dying. I tried toggling AI back on but it didn't change anything.
gregathit Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Which version of Wrye are you using. Some of the Wrye versions are broken when it comes to this feature. I can't remember which they were but I do remember that much.
Ark of Truth Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Version 295, I might switch to 300 and see if it fixes it.
gregathit Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Version 295' date=' I might switch to 300 and see if it fixes it. [/quote'] Not sure on 300. I "think" 294.2 worked: http://sourceforge.net/projects/oblivionworks/files/Wrye%20Bash/deprecated%20versions/Wrye%20Bash%20294.2/
Uriel Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 You can always open the mod with tes4edit and find out what the hell is going on. PS: Looks like WB devs are Skyrim-oriented this days, they break bash's oblivion features quite often, and rarely fix what was broken. They're going to the dark side.
Shiloh2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'm using WB 295.5 and I can't import faces into mods at all anymore. It USED to work before I re-installed Oblivion and re-downloaded WB. I can import faces into savegames just fine, though Would "downgrading" to an older version of WB screw up may game? I have a bunch of facegen files I'd like to build a mod around.
Ark of Truth Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Shouldn't effect anything. I tried using a lower version but it didn't help me none. I can import into saves fine as well.
Ark of Truth Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 I think it's due to some of the programs it needs to run. I had like two version of Python installed
Ark of Truth Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/173539-cant-import-face-with-wyrebash/ Post 9 will help, not great but helps.
