Block/Deflect Bullets with Melee Weapons?

Does anyone know if such a mod has been created or even possible in NV?

I know it wouldn't really work lore wise for some people, but I think it'd be fun for a lot of us and actually make melee characters worth playing.

 

 

I was thinking it could work by raising the DT up really high when the player is blocking, and then maybe have it where the DT decreases as you keep blocking so you can't just block forever and not take dmg. Unless theres a more complex way to do it and have bullet blocking have just a chance to block and allow it to get better as a perk or something.

 

 

I know with the high DT method you could block bombs and other things, but that could work for "powerful" characters and other characters can just not block the mini nukes and let themselves get killed.

 

I found a Fo3 mod that has some kind of blocking. I can't try it though because I only have new vegas and not Fo3 http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13425

 

 

 

Anyways, I was hoping someone with the know how could possibly make a mod like this where blocking with bullets is possible.
