stillsnow Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Firstly, the screenshots, and So as you can see i have got this crazy a** glare anywhere near light sources pretty much in the entire game, but its the most apparent right at the entrance of whiterun (It makes me want to not go to Whiterun at all). I don't know what's causing this. I though its because of some parameters in the enbseries.ini file, but the blinding glare was there even without any enb. I'd be really grateful to the kind heart who can help me rectify this. I'll also attach the Skyrim.ini, SkyrimPrefs.ini, enbseries.ini that i use. these are from Phoenix cinematic enb on nexus Please help!
Pauduan Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 That kind of a blowout is probably a brightness setting issue, see if lowering it to minimum helps. Are you using a weather/lighting mod for the exterior? My game looks nothing like that, even at night with the braziers in full swing. Are the lights added by the town mod you've installed? try removing it temporarily and see if that helps. If the ENB has an .esp file, it may be increasing brightness in certain spaces by design. Some ENBs are meant to be used at the lowest brightness settings. Since you are able to capture the defect properly and I am able to see it properly, it may also be that the effect introduction is intentional. This probably means that the effect was designed on a low-contrast screen such as a laptop or cheap LCD. Unfortunately this is why I'm unable to use 99% of ENB presets, lighting mods or weather mods as the base equipment is not properly calibrated or of sufficient performance to get a consistent experience.
stillsnow Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Thanks for the reply, I can lower the brightness, but nothing else will be visible other than that ?, but again it's annoying only in that piece of land. I use true storms but absolutely nothing other than that. can you maybe send a screenshot of your game in whiterun? I use JK's whiterun but the glare is present even without that and no, the enb does not have a esp file. its an enb meant for potato PC's like mine. so what i do is 1) download the phoenix cinematic enb mod 2) install all files in it 3) replace enbeffect.fx, enbbloom.fx and enbeffectprepass.fx from other enb mod of my choice on nexus and boom! ( in this case, bleak enb from nexus) 4) I keep the enbseries.ini file since its the most performance friendly file well. i tried replacing the CoP whiterun retexture with Sexy whiterun dirt road to see the effect, and i guess its better? i don't know?
_SpaceHamster_ Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Try going in enbseries.ini and play around with the pointlighting settings.
