SLI Primary Card Issue

I'm having an issue that I'm not sure is an issue.

 

I have an SLI setup of two GTX 1080 Ti cards on an MSI Pro Series Intel X299 LGA 2066 mobo (see pic). The issue is that in the Nvidia Control Panel it has what I think should be card #1 as card #2. I don't know if that is a benign issue as SLI does work in game. any feedback from you tech gurus out there would be appreciated.

 

btw, these cards run HOT with FO4 + Settings Maxed + Photorealistic ENB... I had to turn off DOF as even with these cards I would dip into the 50s and 40s FPS
