Deviously Helpless SE v1.17a

Converted to Skyrim SE by Roggvir

 

  • Removed deprecated DD's "HardcoreEffects" dependency from "WD_EventLegCuffs" and "WD_eventWornVibrate" scripts.
  • Moved script sources to correct SSE folder "source/scripts".
  • Recompiled all scripts.
  • Resaved plugin using 64bit CK.
  • Regenerated the SEQ file using xEdit 3.2.

NOTE:

I am posting this conversion without consent from Srende, this mod's original creator.

I tried reaching him to ask for permisson, but his profile shows his last visit was on September 2, 2017 - almost a year ago.

Therefore i took the liberty of uploading it in good faith that it is not against the wishes of the original author.

I got a reply from Srende after all, and he agreed i can upload the conversion, and so did Slorm, maintaining the updated version 1.17a.

All credit goes to the original authors as always.

I hadn't played much with bondage gear in awhile so equipped a pony collar and went exploring with this mod -- that changes the game. The pony collar prevents me from sneaking so if I get too close to the enemy, it's fun time. I unchecked equip devices because it's not really my thing but it doesn't stop them from equipping my follower who now walks around in with a nice set of gear. Thanks for the conversion.

One issue, when the soulgem plugs vibrate, my game CTD's.  Doesn't happen with regular DD plugs.

I could be wrong, but i dont think this has anything to do with this mod or its conversion.

You'll have a better chance of solving this if you ask in the thread dedicated to the mod those plugs are from (from what you said, i gather they aren't from DD).

It's been awhile but I believe they are from this mod. I'm in the process of updating everything, haven't done it some months, and I'll double check when I finish that.

Aha, there are some... i didn't know, or i forgot.

 

07011ACB - WD_plugWornVag_inv (rendered item: 07011ACC - WD_plugWornVag_script)

I equipped both of them, set timescale to 90 (more would be probably too fast), and in DD MCM i set the even polling interval to 0.5, and then tested every event related to those plugs by setting its chance to 100, and running around letting those events come and go.

Result: no problem at all

 

So, i think it had to be some other mod - maybe listening for the device events and trying to do something, causing the CTD.

Could have been caused by the animations that sometimes acompany these events - make sure all your anims are for SSE and that you run FNIS without errors or warnings.

Also check the number of your animations - when you get to about 10-12K and above (not sure about where the treshhold is, check FNIS docs, i always keep anims number under 10K at worst), the more you have, the more likely you get CTDs.

Yes, there is supposed to be a Mod Configuration Menu entry for this mod.

Make sure you have all the required dependencies of this mod, of Devious Devices (including the DLL plugin for SKSE64), etc..

Try starting a new game to rule out your old save might contain something that breaks it.

Sometimes when I make a new game it has a MCM menu and sometimes it doesn't. That's weird, does anyone know what might be causing it?

I cant seem to get it to trigger- If i understand- the idea is I walk into a bandit camp, they attack...

 

I have 2 peices of DD equipped.

Triggers = all enabled, zaz, DD, Et..

Have it set to disregard wether I have a weapon equiped,

Have it set to disregard wether I have a weapon in my hands

 

any ideas what i might be missing?

This version of DH seems to break my game. I did not see it immediatly after installing it, but later, after adding other mods I started to get CTDs and scenes started breaking or took too much time to initialize. So I went back to older saves and removed newly added mods and it got better, but still stackdumps (60 -> 8 Mb logs). Then I tested even earlier saves and still several Mb logs...


After finally removing DH and cleaning the savefile, I get no more stack dumps; the log is below 100 kB and readding the mods I stripped away before, do not cause any problems.

 

I did not test it on a new game though.

 

The sad thing is that I did not have one scene with DH in this playthrough and it still broke my game. Reading through the active and cycling scripts, my save game got corrupted at some point and the scripts got baked into my saves or why would there be scripts running cloaks on draugr in breezehome...

 

I guess it is way more save to just surrender with the defeat mod of choice - instead of relying on outdated cloaking mods...

Do not take me personally! I am just frustrated after 5 hours of debugging and a 15 h playthrough I had to scrap ?

I'm having a bit of an issue maybe someone else has come across. I have the armbinder equipped and I have "remove armbinder" deselected in the MCM. I have the zaz armbinder animations registered in sexlab and I also have override bound animations selected in Devious Devices but not zaz (as instructed). When I get caught by a bandit, the message shows up that an armbinder animation is starting and they even get into the right position but it immediately switches over to an unbound sexlab animation with hand-less arms flailing around. Is there a setting or something else I'm missing?

Maybe I am little bit late, but this sounds like the ZAZ Doggy Style Bug, this Animation is still bugged even with the "newer" SE Pack.

 

 

Best thing to do is change the Source File (.psc) according to the Description and Recompile it with the Creation Kit to get the psx File

Short of triple checking to make sure everything is installed, proper load order, mods activated, etc...  and running that code- im not sure what else could be done..

I think when MCMs dont show up - and your 400% positive everything is installed correct- its an skse issue, not a mod issue  (hence the setstage)... when that dont work  idk..

u could try starting a new game? (if your installing this on an existing save)..

also, it could just be super slow... hit the code and try just sitting there for 10 actual- on the clock- minutes.. /grab a smoke/beer/snack    and see what happe
