Fresh Install (New Computer)

My old computer died and I'm about to reinstall Fallout 4. The old HDD still works and I'm wondering once I install FO4 could I simply copy the director over and have all my mods work?

How did you install your mods? Manually (very bad), NMM (less bad), Vortex (experimental) or MO2 (recommended)?

When it was manually, you just could copy the old Fallout 4\data\ folder and it should work, though I would recommend to start with a vanilla game installation and use a mod manager this time.

 

With MO2, you have to know, where the mods\ and the profiles\ folder are located. Within mods\ are the neeed files and within profiles\ is their load and installation order.

Normally, they either are in the installation folder of MO2, if it's a portable installation, or in your APPDATA\ folder
