Orly Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 So I like to make my own armor and clothing replacers by renaming nifs and copy/pasting them in the correct folders. It worked very well and was really easy in Oblivion. However, in Skyrim its not working as easily. I replaced the necromancers robes with the skeleton bikini from the BBP Armors (the one with the skeleton hands covering the naughty bits). But when I try to view it in the CK I get a bunch of warnings MODELS: 'Base meshes\Clothes\Necromancer\NecromancerHood_F_1.nif' object 'Cape' has a skin instance that is not dismemberable. Add 'W' array to object in max. TEXTURES: Missing skin tint texture for Biped Object 31 in 'NecromancerHoodAA'. Actor 'EncWarlockNecro01BretonF', Race 'BretonRace'. Please set this in the armor add-on correctly MODELS: 'Base meshes\Clothes\Necromancer\NecromancerRobes_F_1.nif' object 'bones' has a skin instance that is not dismemberable. Add 'W' array to object in max. And so forth. Any ideas how to fix this? I googled the warnings and have come up with nothing. I made backups of course so going back to the old one is no big deal. Also what is the difference between _F_0 and _F_1 nifs? I can't find any difference. Thanks in advance.
deadeaddead Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Simply bumping, I am also interested in finding out about this.
Almodo Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Replacing armors...hm. Don't you need to match it to: 1. body type 2. correct texture reference in nifskope I mean if the armor originally have two parts, you cannot simply replace the .nif that has, say, one part. The BDismemberSkinInstance would be different, for starters. Or at least that's how I understand things.
Happysparkles Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I can't say I am families with Modding Skyrim but when it comes to the body types usually 0 and 1 are max weight min weight. For instance Femalebody_0 is meant for the smaller version of the female body so when doing armor conversions I would say to use that body. (Min weight) Then Femalebody_1 is for the Meximum value weight or bigger version of the female body so it is best to use that one when working on the max weight value armor. Same goes with feet, hands, armor etc. I hope that cleared things up a little bit for you. Sorry if I do not know the other parts.
