major problems with saved games loading last exception seems to indicate wicked whims is the problem?

I played sims 4 for a very long time today with no issues until I downloaded the newest version of Wicked whims. That is when all the issues started. I got a last exception message and it seems to be  WW that caused it. So I deleted that version and downloaded a slightly older version and had the  same problem and the same lat exception. The game loads up and then when It goes to load a saved game it will not load. I hope you can help.

There was an update to the Sims 4 today that has caused a lot of problems. WickedWhims and other mods need to be updated by the creators and another patch from Maxis may be needed to fix some issues.

There was an update to the Sims 4 today that EA could have waited til 22 of June since that when the seasons expansion pack will be released.  I mean why update something to work with new content when the content isn't even available yet

No kidding...major updates are major pains for all of us! Especially when they haven't gotten all the bugs out of it.......once in a while would be alright.....but this is ridiculous......I know I know have some patients and things will be fine. Least I didn't name my daughter Patients like a friend of mine who as a results has none.

Have the same problem too. Has anyone tried uninstalling the latest update or is it possible to reinstall the old version and turn off the auto update?

After re- loadiing wicked whims and all of my related animations today it does seem to be a problem with sims 4 itself because I also did an update yesterday and it was after that when I started having issues. Even after repairing and uninstalling sims 4 and re downloading it I am having exactly the same issue. I can choose who  I want to move in and what lot to move into and it goes through the load page that takes you to the lot but before that page finishes the last exception error comes up. and the last exception I received just 15 minutes ago seems to indicate that the mods are not causing the issue but I have no idea how to interpret the last exception . I have had issues with Sims 4 before but this issue is new.

If you saved after the Last Exception popped up then I believe your save file is corrupted and unfortunately you'll have to start a new game. Follow these steps before you try again.

 

1. Delete any Last Exception txt files in your Sims 4 folder

2. Delete the localthumbcache in your Sims 4 folder (I do this before I start any Sims 4 game. It fixes a lot of stuff)

3. Clear out your Cache folder in the Sims 4 folder

4. Make sure all script files in your Mod folder are up to date (Ex. Wicked Whims, Basemental Drug Mod, Nisa K WP etc.)

4. Make sure Sims 4 is up to date

5. Repair Sims 4 through Origin

6. When you're at the Sims 4 menu screen. Delete your old saves and start a new one.

 

If that does work, you'll have to open a complete clean game

 

1. Make a copy of your Mod folder then move it to the desktop. Delete the original Mod folder in the Sims 4 folder

2. Delete the Tray & Saves folders (Warning: This will get rid of all your saves)

3. Start Sims 4 then exit once it's loaded

4. Go back to the Sims 4 folder and you'll notice that their will be new empty Mod/Saves/Tray folders

5. Put the desktop copy Mod folder into the new Mod folder

6. Start the game and see if that works

 

Main rule is to NOT SAVE after a Last Exception pops up. So make sure you save often to avoid corrupting your files

I manged to fix my issue. I downloaded a copy of the most recent WickedWhims and a copy of the McWoohoo that are compatible with the most recent Maxis update. everything is back to normal and working well. Thank you all for your help and suggestions which I will use in the future.
