Bug fixes

this is a "general" interpretation, we will look for real bug-fixes, tools for giving more stability, better performance textures and other stuff

textures have a great impact to your skyrim... higher resolutions will likely causing drops in FPS (so the general idea), but only true, if you will overdone it... I am playing at 4K resolution (driver, textures a mix between 2K up to 8K if possible) and I am able to play indoors around 60 fps and outdoor between 40-60 fps, mostly... you will reach similiar results for your box, too

so now for a list, what to install (and look out at the descriptions, changes in settings, too)

crash fixes ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725?tab=description ) read all informations and make the changes, install the mentioned .dll (preloader) in the game-dir (this is not ENB, will be forever there, now)... and now is the time to add a new dir to the game... make inside the gamedir\DATA a new one "SKSE"... put in a txt.file "skse.ini"... this file will have some new settings inside in the future... try out, if the mentioned "ScrapHeapSizeMB=256" will have any (positive) effect to your game

bug fixes ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76747?tab=description ) decide if you want to use the stable version or the beta (for me it is the beta, since it is newer and have more fixes)

now go into your MO... LEFT sidepanel... change the loadorder, all lightning, weathermods behind any patches, bugfixes... (we will do this for now again just up to the moment, we will reach the point to go for other stuff... it might be a good idea to change the category for each related mod/fix to "bugfixes" to have the same one... so you will be able to "see" what should be the right loadorder (index) and it is easier to "hunt" bugs during your game

suggestion:

every 5-10 new mods added to the game, stop... check LOOT, look if you have to change leftpanelside of MO and start the game with your reference-saves... see, if the game is stable and if there are changes with fps... in time there should be better fps, depending on your settings and mods

install following bugfixes with MO, read the description, change the leftsidepanel-loadorder in MO to put them into the "bugfixes" category... do your LOOT and test them

Dragon Stalking Fix ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54274?tab=description )

Enchantment Reload Fix ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52717?tab=description

Load Game CTD fixhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85443?tab=description )

now a tricky one... ( https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635?tab=description ) you have to install this manually with MO. Yes, it is for skyrim, too, New Vegas Anti Crash will go into SKSE/plugins and fixes bugs

other fixes, patches will come with related mods... "fixes" in the sense of better handling of dialogs, UI etc. will come, too

for the following changes I am referencing to the fabulous "Speed and Stability Guide for ENB" on nexus ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214

all credits for this part should go to the author

it's time to check suggested settings, it's up to you to change all mentioned (I prefer to mark this guide inside firefox and do the settings along new installed mods, maybe special settings for the mod "overwrites" the general ones)

but we will install the "Optimized Vanilla Textures" and "High Qualitiy Lod"... ATTENTION make sure to go to the leftsidepanel of MO and put the textures as mentioned (optimized vanilla textures FIRST.. then after the DLC's the related textures - mix between dlc and texture... and before USLEEP (these textures are like the deleted HighRes Texture Pack from Bethesda, but bugfixed and with more standard resolution)

install particle and surface-patch as mentioned

install Skyrim Project Optimization

check your skse.ini-file in gamedir\DATA\skse and put in the suggested changes

** look carefully at the enblocal.ini settings... maybe some changes will improve your fps, test different ones

test the impact of the new textures (sightseeing in skyrim, Benchmarktest)

personal benchmarks:

changed some enblocal.ini settings (mostly using only VRAM - 258), gaining around 2-3 fps (not much, but this will go on)

Now it is time (for me) to install a lot of mods, better handling stuff like items, ui, some more fixes.... real basic stuff, some small, some large - like lots of changes with and without impact of the 255-cup of possible activated mods with skyrim... but do not fear... we have merge plugins and will do some merging to reduce the active loaded ones...

the drill? go for the suggested mod, read the description, install (with all requirements, settings)... do your LOOT, WryeBash (yes, it is time to create a patch now) and test the impact after every 5-10  mod you have installed. Correct mistakes, if you have made them...

this post will be updated after mine installed packages (and short testings)... so stay tuned

to have a better overview the following mods have the category "utilities" regardless if there is another (original) one... they are utilities in the mainsense (for UI, gameplay or others)

SkyUI

A Matter of Time

AdditemMenu 2

Atlas Map Markers for Skyrim Blackreach Dawnguard and Dragonborn

English Strings for Skyrim (needed for skyrim search plugin)

Skyrim Search Plugin

Bodyslide and Outfit Studio

Extended UI

FileAccess Interfass for Skyrim Script (FISS)

Fores New Idles (XXL version)

Fores Creature Pack

Fores Spell Addon

FollowerLivePackage

UIExtensions

Racemenu

XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended

another category is "Models and textures" (will be completed in future)

Bethesda Performance Textures - Animals and Creatures

Bethesda Performance Textures - Armor-Clothes-Weapons

another category "Animations"

Pretty Combat Animations ... (also to test FNIS)

now do LOOT, make a new Bash Patch, run FNIS (make a mod of the "overwrite"-folder for FNIS like "FNIS Output")  ** remember for the leftsidepanel of MO, the lightning and weathermod should be behind the 3 categories above... if you run into problems with animations try to put the skeletonmod near the bottom of the "index-load" order

new mods in "utilities":

Better Dialogue Controls

Better MessageBox Controls

for "bugfixes":

showracemenu alternative

no more swirl effect from absorb (since we are using ENB this is less disturbing)

for "models and textures":

Static Mesh Improvement

Skyrim Flora Overhaul (no grass version) ... we will look for a seperate one, later

Dyndolod Ressources

Indistinguishable Vanilla Tree Billboards

category "modders ressource":

PapyrusUtil - Modders scripting Utility Functions

Racecompatibility with fixes (install the patch for Better Vampires, too)

for "environment":

Realistic Water Two

Watercolor for ENB and Realistic Water

Pure Waters - Waterfalls

ENB Water on Horse Trough and Blacksmith Forge

for "overhaul":

Royal Bloodline with the throneroom-extension

Better Vampires

Alternate Start - Live Another Live

try to sort the leftpanelside of MO in categories (use common sense, here)

never change the loadorder of the first 8 mods (indexnumber of leftpanelside in front)

0 Optimized Vanilla Textures HD

1 DLC Dawnguard

2 Optimized Dawnguard Textures HD

3 DLC Hearthfires

4 Optimized Hearthfires Textures HD

5 DLC Dragonborn

6 Optimized Dragonborn Textures HD

7 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch

then try category "models and textures", "Bugfixes", "utilities", "modders ressources", "animations", "immersion", "environment", "overhauls"

later we will have categories for "quests", "locations", "companions", "npc-overhauls" "armors", "races" and others and will decide, where we place them

such sorting is a suggestion for being in charge of installing (clear groups)... LOOT has other priorities but will respect the leftside, if no special sorting is needed

and... don't be shy to install now without merging... we have enough room to install and test first.

time to check all new mods... do your LOOT, try Dyndolod with high settings, build a new Bash Patch, new FNIS ... start the game ... sightseeing, Benchmark with your first 3 savegames.. (MCM-settings are possible but should not be saved... let the reference-savegames as they are)... since we have now LAL installed, we are able to start a new game every time

make a backup at this stage (saves you hours you did installing, before)

personal results: no changes in FPS , game is running smoothly
