xwhiteninjax Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 steam (obviously) - location: D:\steam skyrim 32bit and Creation Kit (Highres-textures should be deleted, as mentioned before) SKSE 1.073 - location D:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim don't forget to install the script.rar inside the D:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data - directory... this is needed for CK, some mods (files will go to D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\scripts) MO2 (latest version) - location D:\steam\steamapps\common\ModOrganizer2\ *** Attention, has to be changed to D:\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ModOrganizer2\ this is for working with merge plugins... and since I am installing all tools, mods at the same time I am writing this, we will (live) run into all bugs, workarounds... this is the fun of installing (and being a work in process).. .but this will also make sure, that we find and correct the mistakes really fast (from the modpage of mod organizer 2 some important informations) Mod Organizer 2 depends on the MSVC 2017 runtime library. You must download and install this for MO2 to work properly (in addition to the Extra Steps). Download and install both the x86 and x64 versions of the 2017 redistributable - and with playing on Win7 there is the mentioned patch needed, too problems after installing ModOrganizer2 see comments, why to change the install-dir above first test with downloading might be difficult (maybe since we copied the files, maybe due to the "normal" behaviour of this tool). The failure to download a file can be tracked and fixed from this page (for me it was the connection with firefox... see near the buttom of the paragraph) https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/33943c/download_with_manager_not_working_with_mod/ this should fix downloading problems for the next basic mods
xwhiteninjax Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 Installing LOOT (location: D:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Loot\) we will see, that there are infos about cleaning some files (very important)... so let's do it at this stage (with future backups this will be saved, too) we will need Tes5Edit... (location: D:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Tes5Edit\)... after installing this tool we uncheck all files after starting it... going for each to be cleaned files seperately, using the inbuild cleaning-script of Tes5Edit and repeat this step for all needed files don't forget to check with LOOT, if you have done it right ( just a reminder... open tes5edit inside MO, uncheck all, then the to be cleaned file, after tes5edit checked all dependencies - finishing backgroundload - apply the script for cleaning, then go for "remove identical master records"... be sure, the cleanded file is checked during closing (backups not needed)... finished)
xwhiteninjax Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 installing WryeBash - location: ( D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\WryeBash) ... not the mopy-dir (personal preference to have obvious file-/dirnames) Merge Plugins (standalone version) - location: (D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Merge Plugins) and all needed requirements for it (look at the modpage-descrition) problems during installing "merge plugins"... looks out, that the planned directory for ModOrganizer2 will not work with merge plugins... this needed tool is hardcoded to a modorganizer-directory inside the game-dir of skyrim (not able to change this all we need now is copy the whole ModOrganizer2-dir inside the gamedir) installing the needed requirements for merging (BSA Opt - location: D:\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\BSA opt\ ; Champollion - location: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Champollion-V1.0.1-x64\) there are difficulties (maybe only for me) to let this tool checking the needed write-permissions and toolpathes... a trick will do it for us... just switch merge profiles (during this process all changes will be saved)... then change back to skyrim 32bit... check all permissions, pathes again to see, it is done
xwhiteninjax Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 installing an ENB Manager... this is likely a step you have to consider... enb is not only for better looking skyrim, but has many pros like fixing/avoiding CTD, too (like the old ENBoost, now inbuild-functions)... and since we will install bugfixes, patches in the near future, I suggest to install an ENB really fast... it has the advantage, that you will know how fast your game is, without many installed mods and you are able to fix lags at the beginning lets install ENB and ReShade Manager-4143-5-0-4 (this version is on the modpage for skyrim special edition, but works for skyrim32 bit, also)... location: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ENB Management this nice manager will give you the ability to switch several ENB with all needed files, so you are able to test and find the ENB you like best we will also install 2 memory-checking-tools to find the proper settings for the enblocal.ini ( VRamSizeDX9.exe and VRamSizeDX11.exe - to be found on the enb-modpage for skyrim ( http://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm ) location: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ENB MemCheck make sure, that you are able to access all tools inside MO2 (the dropbox at the right side - left from start)
xwhiteninjax Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 here is a complete list of my installed mods before adding sexlab-stuff... with merging the modlist is showing, that I did a little manual editing of modnames on the leftpanelside of MO... mostly to enhance which mods are outside of every mergeprocess (no esp, bsa inside... only meshes and/or textures).... the merging uses differents methods... merging inside one category only, merging with multiple categories... some mods are not merged, since later on succubi and vampiremods will be added and the special playstyle and merges for this will be in the future - but you see some rules and you are able to see for yourself, what could be done... it is even possible to merge quest-mods... but for now we will go for a stable-install modlist.txt loadorder.txt see, that even changes for mainscreen and loadingscreens are merged
