invisible Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 So I'm trying to get a SFM model in Skyrim as a follower, anyone actually know how to do this. I have the model in Blender and even have its textures done, I just need to know what the next step is to get it in Skyrim. Do I use 3DSMax + a skeleton with the model? Anyone who can point me in the right direction..
vex714 Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I have no clue. But I looked around and hopefully this small thread would help. Most other threads have like just the original post with no responses. Or maybe this?
invisible Posted June 8, 2018 Author Posted June 8, 2018 Yeah I found those already, but it's not exactly helpful as the stuff that's been posted there is over 4 years old now. A lot has changed with Blender and 3DSMax. Thanks for trying to help though.

A lot has changed with Blender and 3DSMax. and what's the difference between now and 4 years ago? it's better to use an oblivion conversion to skyrim as reference, there's some that are still T pose, and most stuff is T pose you import that on the thing you want to convert move its feet on oblivion feet make it bigger or smaller, to get its head on oblivion head that's the easy part there's 2 fingers on left hand that were too different from reference and it's too different, it don't move right if you can't port armors... starting with a body is stupid, you start with the easier stuff if sfm head can speak, there's a file for that unzip skyrim tri file and that one search what is skyrim something in sfm files rename to skyrim something file name rezip as sfm tri file give that to headpart sfm head same for eye and mouth tri files if your sfm head is where it should be, no need to convert hair, helms, glasses... but if you requip that armors you have download from somewhere... that is for another body... you have to convert it and everything else to use it on sfm body unless your sfm body is 99% similar to the armor body, then you just have to delete the body from the armor to convert it if the armor weights are the weights you have on your sfm body

It looks like a really hard task.
