The Sleeping Mare

K, the problem is i wandered into The Sleeping Mare(at Pell's Gate) a couple of days ago, and found it VERY crashy inside. Nearly every time a lovers action starts with the NPC's inside i get a famous C++ popup.

I started digging and found that if i try unequipping an upperbody slot armor from any male NPC inside The Sleeping Mare, crash happens. Females are fine, i can unequip all other clothes/armor parts from males just fine. If i removeitem, then update3d without exiting the console, no crash happens. I also traveled a lot around the world and run a lot of tests. And this crash only happens inside Sleeping Mare.

What could be the cause?

And what in my load order can cause crashes when unequipping unenchanted/unscripted vanilla upper armor from three males in The Sleeping Mare?

They all come from "From2ch Lives" btw... But tes4edit says they are regular NPC's with nothibg magic on them. THey have a script, but it only gives some food on OnLoad.

Take a look at the mods effecting the lady that is running the Sleeping Mare.

 

I had to remove her from my game a while back. Sadly, I cannot remember what it was.. but something was causing CTD when I used Xlovers on her. I finally had to do a complete re-install.

Lady is ok for me. Three females from "From2CH Lives" are ok. Tested with removeallitems(most incompatible/mod unfriendly way to do it i think). Only the males crash.

I also tried leaving the Mare and removing those armors remotely from another cell, then i get inside again. No problems at all. I also tried giving another armor to that now nude male, then removing it. Again, no problems now. At the same time those with armors still on are crashing the game.

Which armors do they wear that are crashing things? It could be that the armor(s) don't contain a world model or something along those lines and that is what is causing the crash.

 

Also looking at your load order I really don't recommend you having any plugins except maybe XeoSP++ below LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

If SlaveTraderAddon.esp is a lovers mod then it probably should be up above LoversMB2.esp so that it doesn't conflict with any of the scripting in the two lovers priority esp files.

Not sure what these are:

but I would seriously consider moving them up in your load order.

Those plugins contain no animation/animobjects.

SlaveTraderAddon.esp is SlaveTrader dependant only(for now, at least), only needs to be somewhere below slavetrader.

I'll try moving them though.

Even if they don't contain any animations\objects they may contain things that alter NPC's and could cause issues. My lovers mods have all been temporarily deactivated while I was testing out the BU armors pack update I assembled, and next I am going to be slowly testing out the most recent versions of some lovers plugins that IceCold29 sent me. While I am doing that I will try to sneak over to the Sleep Mare to see if I can figure out what\how\why you are getting crashes. It probably will be mid week before I get that far. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Do you think that "unequipitem", "removeitem" and "removeallitems" can be somehow affected by lovers not ordered properly?

Lovers crash when trying to unequip those armors when sex starts. Same with directly using script commands to unequip those armors

I had this issue once with the lethal majesty armor.

 

Root of the problem was a first view skeleton (in detail growlfs 1st view is not compatible with that armor - bone issues - I had to switch to coronerras).

Your problem seems to to comparable. My suggestion would be to look with what skeleton this armor was designed, if the armor was changed by a mod, check if you changed to an uncompatible skeleton or try another skeleton.

Two of them are wearing vanilla armors, the third one uses the armor from "from2ch lives". I checked, those two are coming straight from vanilla oblivion, all the meshes and textures for them are completely vanilla.

I removed the armor from the third one by going to another cell and using console only. Then i added vanilla steel armor(one of the other two crashy are wearing it) and equipped it on that nude NPC.

Now, they are both standing in front of me, in those steel armors, and i can normally unequip an armor i added and equipped but i crash when i try unequipping the same armor from that other NPC.

Uriel, when you say they are vanilla armors are you 'certain' that you don't have any replacer armors installed (or loose files in your meshes folder) that are really the source of the problem. As Lilalu stated, if there is a skeleton problem (or just a problem with the nif file) then this could be the root of the issue.

 

I suggest this because to my understanding, it is specific armor(s) that is causing the problem, right?

I looked into meshes and textures, there are no replacers installed for those armors.

No, armors is not a problem. As i wrote in my previous post, i can add Steel armor to anyone, and equip/unequip it as long as i want. But an NPC from sleeping mare crashes the game when i(or lovers) unequip his Steel armor.

 

BTW, SlaveTrader addon i promised. Here it is.

What i've done: i changed those vanilla cuffs LST were adding to the ones without the hand meshes included. Those cuffs are now taking left ring slot only. They leave your slave's hands intact when equipped and are not being unequipped as gloves.

Those cuffs have an attached script, so they are forcing the wearer to use cuffed animations from PlayerSlave(Warning, your slaves can no longer fight for you with cuffs on them!). If you want, you can put them on player too.

I also nifscoped those anims a little, so we have cuffed walkright, walkleft, walkbackwards now.

To see an effect, you will need to enslave someone with the addon installed. It will not affect old slaves.

Ok, this is starting to make more sense to me now. Which mod does he come from or what are the mods that make changes to him. I assume you have already looked at him in tes4edit to figure this out. I wonder if he has some custom script that tries to prevent him from loosing his armor. Forgive me if you already answered this.

Three crashing male NPC's are from "from2chLives", there are 3 females from the same mod inside, and they are perfectly fine.

Those males and females have a script on them, but this script only does this:

Armors are different. First one is vanilla steel armor, second one is vanilla leather cuirass, third one wears non-vanilla one, but they all know that crash trick.

I can remove, for example, steel cuirass from an npc when i'm in another cell. Than i can go inside, see a nude npc, give him the same steel armor and equip it. It's now the same NPC, with the same armor, but it will not cause a crash anymore.
