HL_PornStar adds a complete adult film career to The Sims 4. Lights, camera, lose the wardrobe: sign with a talent agency, audition for productions, travel to a working studio set and shoot your scenes with your co-star, climbing from Background Extra to XXX Superstar. Built for WickedWhims: the career works without it, but the scenes are WickedWhims scenes. Male or female star, male or female co-stars.

How it works

Take the job. Join the PornStar career from the phone (young adults, adults and elders). It runs on the acting-gig system from Get Famous: you work the shoots you land, on the day and at the time they're booked. There are five levels, each with its own narrative: Background Extra, Featured Performer, Scene Partner, Leading Talent and XXX Superstar.

Sign with an agency. Two adult talent agencies work in town, and you hire one from your phone (Work tab). CastCall XXX is the high-volume one, with the widest range of shoots. Velvet Star Talent is an exclusive boutique with better-paying shoots. You're signed with one at a time: hiring the other one switches you over.

Pick a production. Your agency lands you auditions on its own (how often is up to you in Settings), or you can browse its offers yourself: Phone > Work > "Look for XXX Auditions". Each production asks for its own scenes and pays its own range. It also has its own shift length (7 hours for one scene, 9 for two, 11 for the feature film), its own fame and a recommended skill. Some unlock as you level up:

  • CastCall XXX: Casting Couch: Oral (§300 to §680), Amateur Hookup: Vaginal (§360 to §815), Backdoor Debut: Anal (§450 to §1,020, level 2), Hardcore Take: Full Scene (§540 to §1,225, level 3) and Feature Film: 3 Scenes (§1,240 to §2,800).
  • Velvet Star Talent: Velvet Tease: Oral (§375 to §850), Glamour Session: Oral + Vaginal (§825 to §1,870, level 2), Anal Exclusive: Anal + Full (§1,400 to §3,150, level 3) and Feature Film: 3 Scenes (§1,240 to §2,800).

Win the part. Go to the audition and get the verdict. If you get the part, the shoot shows up in the career panel with its day and time, and a travel prompt appears when it starts. Until then, the panel suggests prep tasks anyone can do: practice Acting (the mirror works even at skill 0), Charisma and Fitness.

Shoot day. The studio set is fully staffed: camera operators, crew, stylists, background actors, a director and one co-star cast for your shoot. Sit in the hair & makeup chair, pick up your costume at wardrobe and tell the director you're ready. Telling the director is what lights up the stage mark (the X), even if you skipped a prep station: all the scenes your production asks for show up at once, and only those (Oral, Vaginal, Anal or Full). Pick one and your co-star takes their place. Each option leaves the mark once you've shot it.

The director's cut. Every scene plays as a directed sequence, stage by stage (teasing, oral, vaginal or anal, climax). It's built from the WickedWhims animations you have installed, matched to the pair's genders, with on-screen narration. The scene ends on its own right after the climax, or after 8 minutes if your WickedWhims settings never get there. Afterwards your work costume comes back on, for you and your co-star.

That's a wrap. Shoot every scene your production asks for and the set wraps like in the base game: the director calls it, the lights go down and your shift ends about 20 in-game minutes later (you can turn the wrap off in Settings). You get a bronze, silver or gold medal, your pay, career performance and fame. Do the prep and every scene and the day is gold, which gives the most. A level 5 star sits around 2 fame stars.

Cast your co-star. Choose Anyone, Women or Men. On Anyone, the co-star follows the production:

  • Female star: a man in vaginal, anal or full scenes.
  • Male star: a woman in vaginal or full scenes.
  • Oral-only shoots: either way.

Make it yours. Click your star and choose "PornStar Settings…", then click a row to change it:

  • "Auto-auditions": every hour, every 4 hours, every 8 hours, once a day, or off (phone search only).
  • "Available for castings": pause the auditions and let your Sim live a little.
  • "Co-star casting": Anyone, Women or Men.
  • "Shift length": Standard (per production), or a fixed 9, 10 or 12 hours.
  • "Scene length": Director's cut, or a fixed 3, 5 or 10 real minutes.
  • "Scene narration" and "Agency notifications": on or off.
  • "Wrap the set after the required scenes": on or off.

Settings apply right away and are shared by all your saves.

Requirements

  • The Sims 4 + Get Famous (required). The studio set, the prep stations and the acting-gig system come from that pack.
  • WickedWhims by TURBODRIVER (strongly recommended, not included). Without it, the career, the auditions and the shoots still work, but the scenes themselves are WickedWhims scenes.
  • WickedWhims animations. Scene variety depends on the animation packs you have installed. Packs with plenty of on-floor animations give the best directed sequences.

 

Installation

This page has three files:

  • HL_PornStar.zip: the mod.
  • HL_PornStar_Debug_addon.zip: optional, only for reporting problems.
  • HL_PornStar_Translations_Kit.zip: for translators.

To install the mod:

  • Extract HL_PornStar.zip into your Mods folder (the zip already has its own HL_PornStar folder). You should end up with Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/HL_PornStar/ containing HL_PornStar.package and HL_PornStar.ts4script. Keep both files together, at most one folder deep inside Mods.
  • In game, go to Options > Game Options > Other, tick "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed", then restart.
  • If anything looks stale, delete localthumbcache.package in The Sims 4 folder.

Updating: finish your current shift before updating. Your saves, level and agency are kept, and auditions or shoots you already had scheduled still work (they show up as the Feature Film). If you had both agencies, the mod keeps just one. A "Shift length" fixed at 9, 10 or 12 hours overrides each production's own: set it back to "Standard (per production)" to use it. An old "Scene length" (30, 45 or 60 in-game minutes) switches to "Director's cut" on its own.

Uninstall: quit the career in game first, then delete the Mods/HL_PornStar folder.

 

Translations (community)

The mod ships in English and Spanish. Other languages work as drop-in language packs. Download a HL_PornStar_Translation_XX.package and put it in your Mods folder itself (the folder above HL_PornStar, not inside it), and the game uses that language. Remove it and the mod falls back to English. A community translation shows any text newer than its version (everything added in 0.2.5, for example) in English until it's updated.

Want to translate it into your language? HL_PornStar_Translations_Kit.zip has one ready-made package per language, with every string in English:

  • Open yours in Sims 4 Studio (Tools > STBL editor) or the Sims 4 Translator.
  • Translate the values only. Don't change the keys or the instance.
  • Save it, keeping the name HL_PornStar_Translation_XX.package, and share it.

(WickedWhims-style: players just drop in one file, no extra tools needed.)

Compatibility & notes

  • Works alongside other careers and gameplay mods. The career, its agencies, productions and texts are the mod's own. EA's Acting career is left alone: the mod only acts on Sims in the PornStar career, on the PornStar set.
  • Known issue: like every active career in the game, switching households or travelling with another Sim mid-shift ends the shift early. Finish the shift first.
  • If your WickedWhims library has few on-floor animations, the director can't build a full sequence and falls back to a free scene.
  • Your settings are saved in Mods/HL_PornStar_data/ and shared by all your saves.
  • English and Spanish out of the box. Other languages come from the community packs above.
  • Reporting a problem: install the debug add-on by extracting HL_PornStar_Debug_addon.zip into your Mods folder (it puts HL_PornStar_Debug.ts4script next to the mod in Mods/HL_PornStar/). Repeat what happened, then send the file Mods/HL_PornStar_data/pornstar.log with a short description. Without the add-on, the mod writes no log.

HL_PornStar 0.2.5 — Productions, director's cut & fame

This is the biggest update so far. Each agency offers several productions with their own scenes and pay, the director really directs your scenes, the set wraps on its own when you're done, and there are important fixes, including the one for EA's Acting career. Give it a try and tell me how it goes: at the end there's what to look out for and how to report problems.

What's new

  • Productions. Each agency now offers several different shoots, each with its own scenes, pay, shift length (7, 9 or 11 hours), fame and recommended skill. Some unlock as you level up, and on set the X only shows the scenes your production asks for, all at once as soon as you tell the director you're ready (even if you skipped hair & makeup or wardrobe). They come to you on their own, or you can browse them in "Look for XXX Auditions", now with the mod's logo (no more cowboy hat):
    • CastCall XXX: "Casting Couch: Oral" (§300 to §680), "Amateur Hookup: Vaginal" (§360 to §815), "Backdoor Debut: Anal" (§450 to §1,020, level 2), "Hardcore Take: Full Scene" (§540 to §1,225, level 3) and "Feature Film: 3 Scenes" (§1,240 to §2,800).
    • Velvet Star Talent: "Velvet Tease: Oral" (§375 to §850), "Glamour Session: Oral + Vaginal" (§825 to §1,870, level 2), "Anal Exclusive: Anal + Full" (§1,400 to §3,150, level 3) and the Feature Film.
  • Vaginal Scene. New on the X on set. The old "Sensual Scene" is now the "Oral Scene", which is what it always was.
  • "That's a wrap!" Once you've shot the scenes your production asks for, the set wraps like in the base game: the director calls it, the lights go down and your shift ends about 20 in-game minutes later, no waiting out the clock. You keep your full medal and pay. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • Truly directed scenes. The scene director had never managed to build a sequence: every scene fell back to a random animation. Now each scene moves through stages (teasing, oral, vaginal or anal, climax) using the WickedWhims animations you have installed, matched to the pair's genders. The more animation packs you have, the richer the shoot.
  • Director's cut. A scene ends on its own right after the climax (or after 8 minutes, if your WickedWhims settings never get there). No need to cancel it to move on. If you'd rather have a fixed length, "Scene length" now uses real minutes: 3, 5 or 10.
  • Casting that fits the production. With "Co-star casting" on "Anyone", your co-star follows the shoot: a female star in a vaginal, anal or full scene works with a man, and a male star in a vaginal or full scene, with a woman. Oral-only shoots can go either way.
  • Fame per shoot. Each production gives its own fame, and gold gives the most. It's tuned so a level 5 star sits around 2 fame stars.
  • Prep tasks anyone can do. Practice Acting (the mirror works even at skill 0), Charisma and Fitness. Before, "Rehearse romantic scenes" couldn't be done without the Acting skill.
  • Settings: a new row, "Wrap the set after the required scenes", the standard shift length is now each production's own, and the menu option now carries the mod's logo, like my other mods.

Fixes

  • Romantic scenes in EA's Acting career (the regular one, not the mod's) turned into sex scenes: the mod now only acts on Sims in the PornStar career, on the PornStar set.
  • "Nothing happens at shoot time": the game silently skipped your first shoot if it fell less than 10 hours after joining the career; the shoot got stuck in the panel and auditions were blocked for a week. That's gone, and a watchdog now reschedules any stuck shoot (with a notification).
  • Scene options stayed on the X after you shot them: they now disappear.
  • Your Sim could end up with both agencies at once (and see both agencies' offers): hiring one now drops the other, and old saves fix themselves.
  • "Scene length" counted in-game minutes: at speed 3, a 30-minute scene lasted seconds. It now uses real minutes.
  • The inherited numbers gave more fame for bronze than for gold: gold now gives the most.
  • Sometimes the costume didn't come back after a scene, or the career panel didn't refresh: the game was silently cancelling some of the mod's delayed actions. They now always run.

What to try (and how to report)

  • Do a one-scene shoot (for example "Casting Couch: Oral") and a two-scene one ("Glamour Session", from level 2): does the X only show the required scenes? Does the set wrap when you finish the last one?
  • When the set wraps: does the director call it, do the lights go down, and does your shift end about 20 minutes later? Do you get your full medal and pay?
  • With "Co-star casting" on "Anyone": does the co-star make sense for the production?
  • Watch the animations: do they match the pair's genders? Does the scene move through stages, or does it stay on the same animation?
  • Tell the director you're ready before hair & makeup and wardrobe: do all the scenes show up together?
  • If you had an audition or a shoot scheduled on 0.2.4: does it start normally after updating?
  • If something breaks: install the HL_PornStar_Debug add-on, repeat what happened and send me the file Mods/HL_PornStar_data/pornstar.log. Tell me what you did and what you expected.
  • If the set wrap or the director's cut isn't for you, you can change them in Settings, no need to uninstall.

Updating

  • Finish your current shift before updating.
  • Your saves keep working, and your level and agency are kept. Auditions and shoots you already had scheduled still work: they show up as the Feature Film (3 scenes).
  • If you had both agencies, the mod keeps just one (the one listed in your career) within the first in-game hour.
  • If you set "Shift length" to 9, 10 or 12 hours, that overrides each production's own: set it to "Standard (per production)" to use each shoot's length. An old "Scene length" (30, 45 or 60 in-game minutes) switches to "Director's cut" on its own.
  • Community translations will show the new texts in English until they're updated.
