There is a new corner desk at Pelican Trust. The man behind it wears a suit the color of wet sand and a smile that arrives half a second before he does. Sterling Vance, private placements. He brokers quiet stakes in the businesses you already know, and he has a laminated page with your name on it.

Silent Partner is a tycoon layer for X-Change Life: buy into the town's venues, collect dividends, keep your assets healthy, and fight off the out-of-town money when it comes sniffing around your block.

Features

• The Board. Eight investable venues: Jitters Cafe, The Laundromat, Blockbuster, Headlines Salon, The Broken Drum, and three more if you run my other mods. Climb from Silent Partner (12%) to Serious Money (28%) to Majority Holder (51%).
• Sunday dividends, scaled by each venue's condition. Neglect a place and it slides. Look after it and it pays.
• Management visits. One a day per venue, always two levers: the businesslike one (a stat check) and the flirty one (a charm check, a tip, and consequences if it goes wrong). A settings toggle keeps visits strictly professional if you prefer.
• Events. Inspections, staff crises, equipment failures, press attention, and the talk of the town when your own behavior catches up with you. Resolve them with cash, competence, or charm.
• Meridian Capital. Once your portfolio gets noticed, a development firm starts buying up Summer City one venue at a time. Counter-bid, rally the neighborhood, or work their field rep after dark. Wins raise a venue's floor for good. Losses leave the place in their shadow until you win it back.
• Tier perks. Coffee on the owner's tab, comped washes, a once-a-day signature drink, an aisle of 80s training tapes (BUNS OF STEEL IV: The Reckoning), and a laundromat lost-and-found that turns up clothes in your size.
• 8 achievements, two of them hidden.
• Three portraits, no new video. Reuses base systems throughout.

Integration with my other mods
All optional, everything works standalone:

• Summer City Farms, Neon Desires, and X-Press Delivery appear as investable venues when installed.
• X-Fans fame unlocks the celebrity visit event.

For modders
Silent Partner is a framework. Put YOUR shop on Sterling's board with one tagged passage and inherit the whole system: dividends, visits, events, perks display, the works. A read API ((svp_stake:) / (svp_health:)) lets your mod react to the player's investments with discounts, dialogue, or perks of your own. Requirements & install

• X-Change Life 0.25.3 or newer. No required mods.
• Install the .xcl through the XCL Mod Loader like any other mod.
• Safe to add to an existing save. Safe to update in place.

Pelican Trust is a federally insured institution. Sterling Vance's commission is already priced in. Don't worry about Sterling Vance's commission.
