Upon purchase, random items from the specific category where it was bought drop into the Sim’s inventory (household or personal). After opening the package, the Sim receives new buffs tied to that product category.

Teens and children will react negatively to shop restrictions and the fact that they often get an 18+ Booklet, though there are exceptions for teens who buy the "Large Pack"—it is guaranteed to drop lots of exciting stuff🫢
When purchasing Gifts from restricted categories, children will receive a booklet that they can read, which will also trigger a negative reaction to this awkward misunderstanding.
Adults will also be able to read the booklets and rejoice in the fact that they are grown-ups and allowed to shop in the "Love Secret", "Smoke Shop", and "WooHoo Shop" (add-on) categories.
