Previously Dark World - Slavery Expanded.

 

 

So I was messing around with deguru's excellent mod: Dark World: Reborn and I was ecstatic to find a slavery system with in it. However after a few hours... probably over a hundred.. I found the slavery system rather lacking.

 

So after waiting and waiting for more content for the slavery system I decided: Why wait? Why not make it myself? And thus Dark World - Slavery Expansion was born.

 

What this mod does:

-Adds an offmap empire that you can sell slaves to or buy slaves from

-DRAGONS, because dragons are awesome.

-Reptilians (dragon/human hybrids)
- Adds two new ways to get slaves.
-Adds ways to get various dark world traits into your court, without starting with them.
-Declare wars to capture slaves
-Visit any non whore pleasure slave in your court. (If you sent them to work in the brothel, you cannot visit them)
-Visit slave decision is limited to: Non spouse/lover, non whore pleasure slaves only.

 

-Grant favor to your courtiers to allow them to use your pleasure slaves. (Minor title Liege's Favor, limit 5)

Bugs: 

-Localization for dragon festival is a bit wonky, it has been fixed in my current build and will be out in the next release. (Had the modifier and the decision named the same thing in the localization, which caused it to be wonky for one of them, simple fix. Just had to rename the modifier to something else, which I should have done in the beginning.)

    -NEW Decisions and changes:
        -NEW Send Ambassador, allows you to send one of your daughters to the Forest for a year. Currently two outcomes. (You get an egg, or you lose your daughter)
        -Calm Dragon: Courtiers or Vassals must have Weyrleader title to participate. 

    -NEW BUILDINGS (all in FORTS, not castles)
        -Dragon Roost: Gives taxes, makes slaves and prisoners sell for more. Required for Imperial Marriage and Slaving contract.
        -Dragon Weyr: A home for your dragons, allows you to appoint Weyrleader title (used in Calming your dragon events)
        -Guard Barracks: Gives you a larger garrison for the fort, to prevent it from being destoyed as often. 
        - Reptilian Nest, gives 5 sex appeal, will be used later for events, nothing yet though.

    -GOVENER CHANGES
        -Govener of the FOrest is now a Dragon
        -Govener is also a Mercenary you can hire now. 
    - BUG FIXES
        - a few localization things
        -fixed a few requirements that were still tied to China. 
        -Fixed Slave Raid (Yes it broke again, good news it was my fault this time.)

  • In light of Dewguru's latest update adding stuff for Vampires, Reptilians can also be vampires. Have fun.

    -Fixed Imperial marriage, I done goofed and forgot to rename 1 of the events.
    -fixed .mod file, forgot to make it reflect the name change. Sorry about that.

    -Added Reptilian Race (via portraits and traits)
    - Added ablility to start as a reptilian (pick the trait in the ruler designer! Portraits added by descision afterward) 
    -Added Imperial Marriage Boon to the Forest (You will marry a reptilian not a dragon) 
    - Fixed a couple of minor codding issues. 
    -Created a custom version of ReMeDy's Portrait Replacer to handle the portraits so it does not conflict with dark world and so you odnt have ot overwrite and files. 
    -MOD RENAMED to Dark World Serpent Expansion. Slavery aspects are still there... its just with the addition of the Reptilians and the dragons it seem to be a minor aspect now. 
    -Rules to control Reptilians in the game. (Dont want them? Turn it off.)
    -Special thanks to Bah! for gathering the portraits for me.
    -Finally fixed the localization error in the calming dragon events (It was not saving the event target like it was supposed to, switched to global_event_target and its fixed)
    -Events that gave dragons eggs now have an equal chance of you giving birth to a reptilian. (If you have a child with a dragon outside of these events it will not be affected, you are not supposed to be able to seduce/sleepwith or have children with them anyway) 
    --Due to system limitations you MAY see the child dragon portrait and/or missing traits or be stuck with bastard traits for a day. I tried fixing it Imediately but it never worked, I had to delay it by 1 in game day to update traits/graphic culture of the children born between hmans and dragons. 
    - No Race specific artwork or events right now. I am still looking for artwork.

    -Reptilians cannot have the traits: werewolf,werewolf_ancient, werekin, kitsune, neko, orc, elf or tentacle. (Or inbred :3) as they are opposite traits, adding one will remove the other.

    DUE TO COA FIX AND NEW GAMERULE THIS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK WITH A SAVED GAME. It SHOULD (And did for me) But CK2 will do it's own thing and I have seen similar things break saved games in the past. Use on saved games at your own risk.

    -Dragon Rules: You can now pick whether you want dragons to spread outside of the Elder Forest Empire THANK YOU NOXBESTIA FOR WRITING THIS.

  • -Crown Expansion Law: Stop the boarder gore! Prevent vassals from declaring wars. (Only a VERY VERY small chance for paranoid AI to use this law, its mostly just yours to use. If you think its Overpowered then DONT USE IT)
    -Dragon Hatching now takes 6 months. (Meaning it takes at least 1 year to get a dragon. 6 months to lay the egg, 6 months to hatch)
    -To use dragons in War or to have them Kidnap people you have to calm them first.
    -Dragon calming event only gives a 10% chance of getting an egg. Dragon Festival is still the fastest way to get one.
    -Dragon Festival now has a 5 year cooldown. 
    -Fixes COA. Flags should now work.
    -A few other bug fixes that I am forgetting. Localization for dragon events still not pulling the dragon's name.
     

  • V.09
    -Dragon eggs and dragon children added
    -Events to get draogn eggs added.
    -Hatch dragon eggs and get your very own dragon
    -Having an adult dragon child lets you: Kidnap people (might tweak this some later its kind of over powered right now) and burn enemy armies. 
    -FEMALE rulers can get Favor with the Elder Forest with out the use of slaves. (Males can as well but it is a weee bit more difficult)
    -Fixed a few minor bugs. (no more boon being shared between China and Elder Forest)
    -Event/Desicsion to allow couriters and vassals to get draogn eggs. (Only Vassals and landed characters will hatch them however.)

  • -Ruler designer fixed, you can now play as a dragon. However I recommend not doing so as only the empire was designed to be run by dragons. However if you do it shouldn't break anything. (You can thank Noxbestia again for fixing this!)

    -Fixed the female dragon portraits. No longer are they doubled up and/or breaking out of the window. 
     

  • V.08(DWv1.60)
    -DRAGONS, the elder forest now belongs to dragons other than bears!
    -Dragon Culture, unique to the empire.
    -A GIANT THANK YOU to Noxbestia for fixing the dragon culture.. Imade a jumbled mess but Noxbestia was kind enough to fix it.

    -Dragon Cuture is DISABLED in ruler designer (DO NOT ENABLE IT, you will crash)
    -And another thanks to noxbestia for telling me how ot fix the house smith issue.

  • -Intrigue Decision to buy slaves has been disabled (its still in the code, if you want it back you can re-enable it.)

    -New Offmap empire. Sell slaves or buy them from this new empire!

    -Slave Raid change, in order to declare slave raids you have to buy a slaving contract from the offmap empire. Its good for 1 war (well the contract is removed at the end of the war so technically you can declare a bunch at once)

    -Other things I have forgotten!

     

     

    Current Bugs:

    -Second hostile button on empire screen, the code tells me it is off... yet it still shows. It doesn't do anything so I'm leaving it for now.

    -Kotow; You will gain 2 Favor a month if you go on a kotow to ANY empire. Its a bug in CK2 and I cant see a way to disable it as of yet.

  • - Visit Slave now requires you to be an adult.
  • - Fixed an error that was preventing Republics from having slave guilds.
  • -Added a missing bracket to Visiting male slaves, removed the extra closing bracket at the bottom of events (Thank you Noxbestia for pointing it out)
  • -Tweaked buildings. Every government type should be able to build a slavers guild now. They are still locked to coastal provinces and still only castles and cities.
  • -Slaves guilds can now be anywhere in realm, rather than limited to capital.
  • -Slavers Guild event now takes 5 days to fire, the guildmaster comes to you, rather than you going to them.
  • -Fixed an error that prevented merchant republics from slave raiding.

  • -Slave Raid CB. Declare war on your neighbors and take the courtiers as slaves. (5 random courtiers from the attacked courty will become your slaves)
