Hiroka's Research [SPOILERS]

"I know the legacy behind my family, and stretches perhaps further than most in the Commonwealth, at least those who aren't Ghouls, and even I find myself unsure if such a traditional family among those affected by the radiation in such a way is possible. But I know what happened, and I take pride in it. My life has been devoted to science, like my mother, and I have used my knowledge to help the people of Diamond City, just as my mother did. Though she tended to avoid mentioning her pre-war roots, while I never lied about it. Some find it odd, but take the time to understand, if only because they have a prior example. Though I find it unlikely that I could be considered a Synth, since I have been doing things to help them long before the hysteria started. I have not researched it heavily, but from what I understand, it is usual for people to either note a gap in memory, or perhaps none at all. Or a relative or friend begins acting strange. I've seen none of this myself, and while I don't make the claim of my memory being perfect, I do have a near prefect recollection of a few events that are fairly important in a child's life, and for some reason, can recall those with ease. Though I have no worries about being a Synth, both because few in Diamond City or the few other places I've been recently have voiced that issue, and due to the fact that I believe my near perfect recollection is due to my liniage, given my parents notes on the subject. Such as, my mother having memories of the day of the great war - in spite of all the rumors, speculation, and rampant planning, not all knew it was going to happen. She remembers the breakfast she was eating that morning, and her feelings when she heard the alarms sounding soon after she finished. This is among many other things, before and since that event."

"From what I understand, my genesis was, not what many would say it should be. I found a pre-war book once, that described a sort of family tree among mythological gods. Some of them, looked like what I knew mine was, at least considering myself, and my parents.

"I have been looking into some who may be like myself. I find it perhaps a bother that the S-FEV fell into various hands after the war, but it is, what it is. Something I cannot change. I can only wonder what Mikoto would think of it. However, I have found a few in the Commonwealth who are rumored to be, unusual, which may point to them being like myself. Which I have no wish to find and disrupt their lives, but merely observe how the S-FEV affected them, especially considering the factor of radiation."

Alice

Background - "The rumors of this one are, varied. Some suggest she has been around for the last two-hundred years, which means she was once entirely human. However, it seems she runs a gang currently, and has had dealings in Good neighbor, but I don't think she is based out of there. One source I have, suggests that she is on good terms with Hancock, with how attractive freaks are to that place, though the same can be said of me - as he took to me as well. Though I am unsure of how she got a hold of the S-FEV, it may have been some back room deal concerning drugs. Perhaps even some samples of the last S-FEV batch to be created, or so my mother suggested, was leaked in some fashion, and some of it ended up being sold in elicit channels, and that is how she obtained it."

Personal Details - "Some of those who suggested that she is pre-war, seem to believe that she ran a gang back then, too. That she had rich parents, went to a Ivy League school, and yet was a delinquent in every sense of the word, save for the fact that she did graduate with honors, apparently. I'm not sure how true this is. I would love to speak with her myself, though I am unsure if my appearance would allow for a cordial discussion."

Juno(W.I.P Name)

Background - "An odd case. I heard about this one from Piper, the reporter in Diamond City. It seems he was part of a settlement that was doing fairly well a year ago, before it was attacked by raiders. Three months later, the raiders were all killed, and some made notice of someone that looks like a shark around the Fens area, which obviously wasn't referring to me. Piper also told me about someone who made mention of someone like that around the Cambridge area not long after. Perhaps Alice knows something about him?"

Rochelle Silver

Background - "She is far more unique than any other that I've heard of. If only because I have spoken with her directly. She was a solider in the US Army, serving for the entire ten years of the Anchorage Campaign, an effort to retake Alaska from the Chinese. Within the final days of the conflict, she was wounded while cleaning up stragglers. Patched up for the trip home, she underwent various treatments for the whole journey. When she arrived in DC, she went into a sort of coma, only coming out of it two days later. For the next month, it is a sort of 'of and on' thing, where she blacks out and wakes up days later. She is tested, and some believe it is some kind of biological weapon developed by the Chinese, and they have no idea how to cure it. Not long after, she goes under again, and her condition varies. Requiring various procedures, and after one long operation, the doctors want to end it. They pleaded with her CO to allow termination - and they were refused. Ordered to stabilize her, she is placed in a medical unit capable of sustaining her, and flown to Boston, where she was then loaded onto a ship, which sailed to an island that had been stricken from maps years ago, or never recorded on them at all. She became part of the Helix project, and from what she says, seemed to recover only a day before she was to undergo testing.

Cognizant enough, yet still in pain, she agreed with being tested, as per Mikoto's request. After the serum was administered, she says some of the details are a bit hazy, though they recounted them to her later. The strapped on band released the serum into her veins, and she recalled her vision clearing, and the pain begin ebbing away within seconds, though it's 'ghost', as she says, was still there. It was a look into the people standing being Mikoto, that made her glimpse a pistol in the hands of a military officer - the weapon pointed at Mikoto's back. Pushing the doctor to the side, she took a bullet in the chest, and the shock of it was nothing new, but considering her condition, it was impossible for her to take. Falling backwards into the medicated pool, she recalls nothing but a void, and the brief glimpse of what seemed to be a pair of pure white eyes. If it was actually something related to the serum, or a mis-remembered detail, she has no idea.

She was later told something of interest. The band placed on her arm had to functions - to administer the serum, as mentioned, and a monitor for her life-signs. A precautionary device, after Evelyn spent half an hour submerged with no assurance of what the results were. But the terminal receiving her lifesigns said one thing - the bullet to her heart killed her. The serum coursing through her body, brought her back."

Personal Details - "I knew quite a lot about the unique aspects of what I am. Though some of that changed quite some time ago. It was shortly after the Synth hysteria began in the Commonwealth, and I had only first met Rochelle a little before. A few months after I consulted her about her past, and some of her medical history, I enjoyed her occasional visits, where she was always a delight to chat with, and she occasionally bought or traded supplies with me. But then she arrives at my door with a serious injury - she had lost one of her arms entirely, just above the elbow. Apparently a bad run in with Super Mutants. I brought her in, and started some usual treatments to calm her down, and considered the knowledge I had about what to do with amputees. It was of interest, given what I knew of the Helix project, but not something unheard of among Soldiers. However, within the hour, I began gathering materials to numb her pain and sew up her lost limb, when I noticed something, unusual. Her body was healing - and not exactly like a cut. I stood in awe as I watched, slowly, as the exposed bone that I could see, was reforming. As was the rest of her muscle, skin tissues, nerves, etc. Though I will note - it was not a fast process, and she was out for most of it. I helped her eat her morning meal the next day, and it was not until two days later, that she finally had two hands again. She was of course, not surprised when I brought up physical therapy, but only spent an extra day or two with me, until she felt she could reasonably use her arm like normal again.

What I wonder is, if I could do anything to speed the process? Even a little, could be helpful."
