So I decided to dive headfirst into the Creation kit...

I used to spend a lot of time on a hobby in another ... let's call it gaming platform. (Second life) I loved to landscape. I love gardening in RL so when I discovered this niche I was in absolute heaven. I spent quite a bit of money at the time too, since I didn't drink or party like other people. A car accident on Christmas Eve in 2011 put a pretty quick stop to all of that; it put a stop to a lot of things...

But not before I met my soul mate and best friend. Of course now I can't afford to spend extra money towards building, but I realized, the more I modded Skyrim, that I could do it again! So, in an effort to learn how the creation kit works, and to battle depression by keeping myself busy I'm recreating the Luminarios Divide and hopefully someone will get that peaceful feeling that many of my visitors would get.

My plan is to turn it into a fully functioning city at some point down the line. I understand how terraforming works and item placement already due to my years of working with ... (not similar) but somewhat so tools inside SecondLife. Of course I know it's not going to look the same as it did. I don't want it to. But I want to again capture the feeling I had every time I entered that place. I want to share my ideas again and to enjoy that little tingle when I think that my vision might have touched someone else.

Flickr album of what it looked like before I shut it down in SL.

*It started out as a solid land mass (top photo's); and as time passed, and the story that my bf and I created; how it became what it finally did at the end of March 2013

Now that all that is out of the way, I'm going to try and record my progress (As I remember, >.<) And to chronicle little footsteps here and there. Screens aren't in any particular order, and yeah, I don't have grass in my skyrim. I've figured out how to create the transition from Tamriel to the Divide. It's not the boat I wanted to use. I am still planning on using the longboat near solitude, and the wrecked longboat at the islands in my mod, but when I went to change the model it didn't show up. Just the little rowboat.

It'll work for now.

In one of the attachments it can be seen where on the map the location to get there is. Near the Solitude lighthouse of course. It was easiest for me to remember where it was and, actually makes the most sense considering the storyline.

(I'll be posting the story at some point for reading, it's on the bf's external and I don't mess with it  )

(Illustrations I had done for the book. (It pulled together the entire RP story into one ...thing?)

I've also managed to create friendly creatures! I didn't want the wildlife to be streaking off into the water and drowning, and again it made more sense have calmer creatures inhabiting the land.

It lookes pretty stripped so far, but I've been working on this idea for the past 3 days. Eventually there will be npc's in the town that's going to be built (As I learn).

No quests or anything (Maybe someday but I'm not going to tackle that yet), just someplace to go for screenarchery, peacefulness and somewhere different to be within the skyrim world itself.

I'm using resources from some pretty talented people. Thank goodness because I stink at creating meshes lol.

Thank you:

Elinen for providing the packs for zTrees rocks, Hoddminir plants, trees (with zTrees trees/plants) There's some really fantastic work in there.

SpectralDragon for the dlc2 colored lanterns that will be going into the town once it starts getting built.

And I'm sure I'm going to add more resourses as I go.
