Full Kit
A quick update from the last entry; I played around with some adjustments to the Edhildil spine and found one that I think I like. Same basic parts, but widened out into ovals to fill in the top of the pelvis more and with the vertebrae plates narrowing as they go up the waist, much like the Gynoid type's rings, culminating in a new top mount for the connector socket. This leaves me with something that's nicely figured like the Gynoid type, but still aggressively mechanical like the Bikini type.

It's still got the same issue with floaty bits in some poses, but fuck it, I'm just gonna roll with that.

One thing I do still need to do is make adjustments to the weighting on the original Edhildil parts. I can and probably should leave most of it, since the pelvis does need to shift around a bit for the bulk of the thighs to work without massive clipping, but I'm pretty sure I no longer need any of the spine weighting on it now that it's not trying to connect to an actual human torso. The new parts handle all that.
Even with that unfinished, the new setup looks quite nice in action.

So nice, in fact, that I put a complete outfit together so I could see how the full kit would look.

Quite nice indeed, as it happens.

I'm beginning to think that I need to figure out how to build some sort of follower and/or enemy component into this pack right from the start. Seems like it'd be a shame to not be able to run into this in the wild.

A true, true shame...

Ahem.
Speaking of that floaty spine thing, though, I realized that I had neglected to test all weapon types against it earlier, so I ran through the paces on both of the new models while I was checking the Edhildil stuff out. For the most part, it doesn't seem to occur in normal combat poses. If anything, the more flexible spine really helps on a lot of them, compared to the stiff rods used previously.

The only significant exception I noted was at the very end of the two-handed power attack, which should be expected since it's the exact kind of far bend that causes most of the other occurrences.

One amusing bit of happenstance that I noted while doing this: The ring for the Eastern Dwarven Mace here ended up positioned right over the prong of the mildly repositioned hip flare.

I didn't plan it like that, but I like that it happened. ?
