Not ready for release obviously but I thought I'd throw a few pics up in case anyone was interested.

Managed this effect by editing vanilla resources - few tweaks to the nif, simple edits to the texture (alpha channel + recolor, basically, like, super simple). I'm gonna keep working on it for a bit but... I like where this is going. Maybe see what I can achieve with some actual effect shaders and the like.
