Problems

blog-0662055001395603283.jpgJust Cris in her Stealth suit (MKIII) with her laser katana. Nothing spectacular but it's all I've got atm, I can't be fucked wrestling with Project Mikoto to take new images.

The title comes from the problems I'm having in both New Vegas and Oblivion. I get runtime errors whenever I enter one of the cities (bar Chorrol for some reason) that my CM partner versions of my characters are in (and Bruma as well for some reason) which is driving me crazy since I can't take shots with multiple versions of my characters in them.

As for New Vegas, well there's the aforementioned problems with Project Mikoto playing musical load orders but tehre's also the crashes whenever I switch to third person view outside of a building.

So yeah problems, I'm considering backing up some of the mods I've altered (jonas' versions of Cass and Veronica, I edited them to have different hairstyles in NV and my Stuff file in Oblivion which contains everything I've added to the game that didn't have its own .esp) and reinstalling both games just to fix these fucking problems.

Runtime errors are usually associated with a DirectX or the Microsoft Runtime for C++ 2008. I would try installing or at least checking those first before a drastic re-install (shudders and feels your pain there). I have also seen video card drivers cause this, allot. I have experienced numerous problems with any of the GameBryo engines with respect to video, it just renders very poorly and quite slow. There is even a setting in Windows 7 that if an image is not rendered in a specified time (9 seconds I think) it will throw out a Runtime error and CTD the game.

DirectX is easy to verify, just type in DXDiag at the search programs and files box and hit enter , it will run and show you all kinds of fancy tabs. Just look for any errors and the version of DirectX. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas use DirectX 9 I believe and Skyrim is DirectX 11.

I hope that helps you some.

Kind Regards,
