"Oh, pretty." Says a young Altmer Girl. Her eyes fixed on a kaleidoscope of blue and orange colored butterflies resting on a Dragon's Tongue bush, their wings complimenting the petals. The young Altmer continues to stare intently admiring the shapes and colors. "There you are Elraniel." A voice calls from behind.
"Papa, look! Have you ever seen this many butterflies?" Elraniel asks turning around. "Life is beautiful we draw experiences from it, and it continues to provide us with new experiences. Experience will help you understand. Elraniel, understand the world to your fullest, so when you leave it behind your soul is not weighed down by questions." The man tells Elraniel. She responds by staring blankly. "But come now Honey, we must get back to Windhelm for my meeting."
"Okay, papa." She says getting up to brush the dirt from her knees. Elraniel then races to catch up with her father who already had a head start and together they made their way home.
The sound of fast paced tips and taps as Elra and Inigo chase down the fleeing bandits. Elra hears the words "Oh god, oh god." Coming from the orc as he sprints. The other bandit splits running a separate direction. "Inigo you get the baldie! The orc is mine." Elra commands. "Already ahead of you." Inigo says lunging into the air.
Inigo pounces on the bandit causing the bandit to crash into the ground. "You will make a good scratching post." Inigo says as he raises his claws. The bald bandit screams in terror.
"AHHHHHGGGGGGGG!" The sound echoes as Elra continues to pursue the orc into the geyser springs . He made costly decision. Elra stops just at the foot and postures herself for a shot as the bandit sloshes his way through the warm water.
She slides an arrow from her quiver-
acquires her target-
and loosens her fingers firing with astonishing agility from a single breath.
The orc is struck by the arrow in the back as he falls on his knees gasping for air. "We're done here." Elra says as she unarms her bow and heads off. Without a second glance Inigo follows leaving the gasping orc alone.
As they return from their chase Inigo questions Elra on why she left the orc in his condition. "You didn't make sure he was dead?" He asks "Do you think I'd leave if I wasn't?" Elra says with rhetoric. "How do you know?" Inigo continues to press. "I collapsed his lung with a serrated hooked broad head, removing it only makes it worse. I've used it to take out werewolves before, and he is nowhere near as tough. He will die a slow painful death as the final gasps of air escapes him drowning in his blood." Elra said with a sinister tone of enjoyment.
"Well... I'm glad you are not my enemy." Inigo compliments.
As they enter the shack. Elra lets out a sigh. "I'm disappointed." She says. "All that dramatic build up and the leader flees like a coward. She really overestimated her little posse." "Maybe one day you'll find the challenge you are looking for." Inigo reassures.
The two enter as the sun casts its remaining day light slowly receding into the horizon behind the mountains.
