The moisture in the air began to disperse over the canyons leaving behind little droplets of condensation within the serene forest; It is dawn. The warm yellows and oranges begin to ascend over the horizon pushing away the dark blue and violet night sky. All this can be seen by Elra who perches herself on a ledge. The quiet morning juxtaposed to the sound of clashing water of the rapids behind her made for excellent white noise. One in which she tunes out to hear herself better.

From her vantage point, she was able to see the North Eastern hold, her eyes fixed on the snowy rigid skyline of the city once known as Windhelm. The cold bitter winds suits the city well. Ever since the uprising, the Stormcloaks took over the city driving most of the high elves residing within the to leave seeking refuge from the persecution of the Nords among the other holds. Elra was among those refugees, but Windhelm hasn't been home to her in a long time. What's left is a distant grey memory

Breaking away from her train of thought, She decided it's about time she head back. She postures herself and collects everything she needs and departs for home.

By the time she arrived, the morning was far behind as the sun sits centered casting a downward shadow upon the land. Not far from her sight she finds Inigo preparing his fishing equipment. Inigo notices Elra and welcomes her. "Hello friend, did you to catch anything.?"

Elra shares her morning tale with Inigo. " Got more than what I came for. Turns out, I wasn't the wolves only predator today." Inigo's ears perk . "Do tell." Inigo urges. "I was able to track a wolf all the way to the edge of a waterfall. That is when it was ambushed by a saber cat. It was surely not expected, but nothing new I couldn't handle" Elra expanded. Inigo notices the dirt covering Elra's body. "You should go wash up and change. You look like you have been rolling around in Hammerfell. Anyway, I'll be fishing if you need me." Elra takes Inigo's suggestion and heads inside the shack.

Once inside, she washes and opens her wardrobe pulling out her nightgown. "No more duties today, time to relax." Elra sheds her hunting gear throwing them on her bed as she begins to change.

Meanwhile outside, Inigo is busy connecting with nature trying to converse with it. "Hello River, would you mind sending some fishes my way? I'm quite sure you are hiding them." he says as though he was expecting a response. A stranger silently approaches behind him but Inigo was too busy conversing with the flowing water to notice.

Meanwhile back inside, the shack was filled with noisy shuffling of Elra's equipment as she cleans up her mess. She folds her hunting gear and places them under her bed. With that being done, the room falls into silence. The silence was short lived as her ears begin to tune into sensitive sounds hidden from the noisy world. Out of the corner of her ear she hears rustling. The sound of something out of place. Something's not right. With almost no hesitation she stands and makes her way out of the room.

She grabs her sword in which has been resting at the foot of the bed.

No time to think, she darts out the door to see that a bandit has tied up Inigo. Her high profile behavior catches the attention of the intruder. In response the intruder started to build up magicka conjuring fire from her curled fingers.

The magicka begins to overflow from the caster's hand, Elra takes notice and readies herself. The bandit then raises her right arm aimed at Elra and fires her concentrated energy. Elra strafes to the side dodging the attack followed up with a abdominal slash. The bandit quickly dodges and the attack misses.

Elra circles around to get behind the bandit for an opening and with a sleight of the hand, Elra uses her destruction and conjuration magic to temporarily bind fire to her sword.

"You think I will expose my back to you that easily?" Says the bandit with confidence. She spins drawing her hidden dagger and strikes. Elra ripostes, the dagger strikes the blade causing it to spark which get causes the bandit to flinch. The bandit reacts by blinking. An opening presents itself.

With speed, Elra counters with a diagonal slash. The bandit falls backwards onto the ground. With her remaining energy, she begins to crawl away. Elra walks in front blocking her path.

"Well, well, well." Elra says. "Looks like you're quite the charlatan. No back up? Not like it'll help anyway." The bandit struggles to mutter the words "My group will know you killed me, and they will show you no mercy. We will spill your blood until there's nothing left to gut from your body."

Elra plunges her blade into the dirt and leans forward. "How about you tell me where they are so I can save them the trouble of walking?" The bandit doesn't respond, Elra's intimidation begins to seep into the bandit's conscious and slowly withers away at her ego leaving behind only raw fear.

"Any Last requests?" Elra says tauntingly. Choking on her blood, the bandit responds in a raspy voice "Go to hell..." Elra smirks. She lifts her blade.

"Wish granted."

With one quick movement Elra ended the life of the bandit. The corpse begins to catch fire, and Elra turns her attention towards Inigo and approaches him.

image.png

"You managed to lose to a measly bandit like that?" Elra says mockingly. Inigo retorts "Well... You see, I let her win. I'm, as you say... too lazy, so I had you do it. It keeps it simple" " If that's the case, then why are you here?" Ellra asks. "Comic relief?" Inigo says with a grin trying to be clever. No response. Elra turns and walks back into the shack.

The fishes begin to bite causing the fishing rods to tug. Inigo, now eager to be untied, begs Elra. "The fishes! They are biting, so are you going to remove these bindings?" Inigo urges " I'm sure you'll find a way." Elra replies nonchalantly.

"Also... clean up this mess. We are expecting company."
