My name is Haneul Park and this is a picture of me with my parents at my graduation ceremony.
I thought that day would be the happiest day of my life.
And then I married my best friend
I was so happy to have all my loved ones at my wedding; my bridesmaids all wore the same stunning dress, which we had made by an Italian designer.
But that was without considering that after all that, my marriage would enter a monotonous phase... My job was boring...
At home, my husband and I became like strangers; all our interactions were punctuated by arguments and unspoken resentments.
We tried participating in couples therapy, but it didn't work.
Luckily for me, I had my bestfriend and cousin Lina to help me through these trials.
One day we arranged to meet at our favorite café to discuss my situation
Lina : You should dump that loser and file for divorce
Haneul : I think I'm at an impasse in my marriage; in the evening when he comes home he no longer pays attention to me and goes straight to sleep in the bedroom.
Lina : Girl, you've been in this situation for almost a year now, and you've only been married for three years.
Haneul : I think you're being a bit extreme in your ideas.
Lina : Look at me and Jeremy, we've been together for almost ten years, we break up and then get back together. Sometimes one of us ends up in someone else's bed and so on, but we always end up finding our way back to each other.
Haneul : I know, but he's my first love from high school and I want to start a family with him.
Lina : Yes, but at least it works.
Haneul : I don't think you're the perfect example for a healthy relationship.
Lina : Listen, I think you should go out with me and we'll go to a place I love to go when I feel neglected.
Haneul : I'm not really sure at the moment, I have a lot of work in the lab and I get home late in the evening.
Lina : Let me rephrase: I'm coming to pick you up tomorrow at 7 p.m., and you'd better be ready.
Haneul : Okay, I'm willing to do it if you insist that much.
Evening came, so I got ready, and since she hadn't thought to tell me where we were going, I decided to dress as if we were going clubbing.
I hadn't finished getting ready when my husband called to tell me that Lina had arrived
Lina : I hope you don't mind that I forgot to tell you I was bringing Jeremy with us.

It took two hours, yes, two hours for a trip just to go to a nightclub. I don't know where they were taking me, but I hope for their sake it was worth it.
Once we arrived, we went inside and I had this feeling of not belonging.
The lights, the atmosphere, the people, all of it was no longer part of my world.
So I decided to go outside, isolate myself, and wait for the evening to end.
Little did I know that fate would throw a handsome brunette into my path, who would approach me.
I don't really know if it was his charm or the situation, but I enjoyed talking to him.
He was funny and and at first glance, well-mannered.
So when he asked me if I wanted to dance with him, I accepted.
That day I had taken off my wedding ring, so he might have thought I would be the next woman in his bed. But unfortunately for him, I was a faithful wife.
I ended up following him inside and we danced, drank and consumed other things.
A few hours later...
Josh and I decided to leave the nightclub around 4 or 5 in the morning, trying to find a place that was still open where we could eat.
Josh: No problem, I just saw you alone and wanted to help.
Haneul : Thank you for this evening
Josh: Maybe we can end this night in a good way
Haneul : I can't, I'm sorry, I'm married
Haneul : I don't think that this is a good idea please stop Josh
Josh: I see the way you're looking at me, and I'm not fooled; if you were the only one, there's a good reason.
Haneul : I really can't, I'm sorry. Maybe under different circumstances.
Josh: You say something, but I can see you're thinking about something else.
He was right... I was lying to myself and I was tired of waiting for everything to work out.
I don't know if it was the alcohol, but I agreed to go with him to his place. And at that moment, without realizing it, I had entered a vicious cycle.

This is a more polished story, I had to remake it several times because I wasn't happy with some of the plot twists. It took me a long time, but I'm quite satisfied with the result, and I hope you enjoyed making it as much as I did.
