Forced break
A sudden rash of crash on load forced me to take a break from modding experiments and take a step back to review my list of mods, load order and apply some much needed updates and clean up.

I came to this forum about 6 months ago, looking for a more mature experience for Skyrim. If you look at inspirations like Game of Thrones or Conan, that means Sex of course. Sex is a much needed addition to balance the amount of killing in that game. And I have to say the work share on this forum is remarkable.
I started with Sanguine Debauchery, which took me to SexLab and a dozen of related mods since.
Because of these mods, I started tinkering with CK editor. I wasted hours on missing dialogues, missing error messages, unassigned properties just to learn the ropes.
The result are a few mods released and a couple more in development.
- SexLab Alicia PainSlut : started off as an extension of Alicia PainSlut, by DDproductions83. Alicia is a quirky, unique character who begged for sexual animations. It evolved into two conflicted followers, a dungeon/basement home, and soon, a complete back story quest revealing Alicia's past.
- SexLab Mind Control : In order to make Alicia better (and fix some issues as a follower), I needed to experiment with NPC behaviors in Skyrim. This turned into a unique mind control circlet, a short back story in Winterhold and a way to enslave almost any NPC (and sometimes, be enslaved by them).
- The Sisterhood of Dibella : This mod started after reading a forum thread full of very creative ideas around Dibella cults. It's my attempt at filling a gap in the game and turning the Temple of Dibella in Markarth into a joinable guild, with an Initiation quest, customized NPCs and props, and hopefully, the start of a series of mods related to Dibella, Mara and their conflicted relationships with Daedric lords such as Sanguine and Molag Bal.
The point of this first post is this.
I see a lot of comments along the lines of 'if I knew about modding I would do....'.
With some perseverance, who knows the kind of mods could be created by these users.
If this sounds like yourself, try it out. Install CK editor. Read wikis from Bethesda or UESP. Search answers in forums. Watch the multitude of video tutorials on YouTube.
You could fix a small but important gap in the game, extend your favorite mod, or start a larger quest.
Modding Skyrim (or other TES games for that matter) is not particularly straightforward. It can be confusing, frustrating or downright enraging. But it is so rewarding when you can experience your own creation to make your game more enjoyable and even more so when you can share it with others and watch them play with your creation.
