TK17 VX: Trial… Effort… Despair. Yeah, I’m going to whine.

VX community screenshots are oh so inspiring. They say: hey, you can make any dream come true! But when I try to make my dreams come true… Oh, well, I get nothing but a despair. And despair is not something I’m dreaming of.

So, what’s wrong?

Maybe I demand too much. What I’m dreaming of is just two male characters done exactly to my taste. I’m writing a Sci-Fi story and I’m stuck. I thought some visualization could be of great help to boost my imagination, but… now I’m stuck even more.

OK, now, what’s wrong, really?

Well, basically I don’t know how to customize my VX. I had a success in making my game look great with Hook5 and Reshade learning awesome community tutorials. But now it’s time for my male models. And this is a disaster. I can’t find Amon model for my blonde male. Amon is exactly whom I need. I tried to port him from TK4R and got weird results. But things are even worse with the other male: I need to customize some existing model to create him, a main character of my story.

Well? Go read tutorials!

That’s what I’ve been doing for 3 weeks already. And I still know nothing of how to make skins or heads work properly. Even if I make something work, my face customization efforts end up as a weird mess…

OK, now, just delete it.

No. No! will keep trying!

OK, now, shut up and keep trying. Good luck!

Getting started with TK17 VX or any other version could be daunting if you try to do too much at once.  Honestly, it is the same reaction I had to Sky Rim and VAM, and ultimately I realized I was just used to TK17 so other games would not be an easy learn.

To your issue...male models are interesting bringing a male model over from TK4R (v7.5) would probably mean you need to ensure the male face mods and body mods it was using are installed in your game also.  Remember males have their own sets of mods also.

Also the community is always there to help when you get stuck or to give advice on what may be best to use to get to what you need.  Simply find the community that fits your needs the most and go from there. These days I can only speak for the Klub Exile community (Not the KE LL Club), but others are out there.
