FNIS + Nemesis. The only thing missing is YOU!

Don't know if this has been covered before, but I'm betting it hasn't been.

So the new kid on the block is Nemesis. And it has badass mods like CGO, TUDM, MBO and others. But it doesn't support creatures! And FNIS and Nemesis hate each other almost as much as Fore and Shiro do! Whatever can I do?

Fear not! The answer is here.

How to add Nemesis to an FNIS setup in MO2

1. Install Nemesis just below FNIS and DON'T activate it (that comes later).
2. Now run FNIS like you normally would.
3. Create a mod (i called it 'FNIS Output') out of the files in 'Overwrite'.
5. DEACTIVATE FNIS
6. Now activate Nemesis and run it.
7. Create a mod (i called it 'Nemesis Output') out of the files in 'Overwrite'.
8. Now activate the two mods you just created.

The only caveat is that often Nemesis will not update or launch after you have run FNIS once. This is because both FNIS and Nemesis *modify existing files* before creating any new ones in overwrite. Your FNIS + Nemesis runs have fucked up the behavior files of your Nemesis animation mods like CGO.

*Reinstall all of those, clear Nemesis output, and rerun Nemesis.* This should solve your problem. As always, be sure to reseat the dummy FNIS.esp near the top of your LO (just below SKY_UI) as the MNC load order instructions recommend.

Yes, behavior files generated by Nemesis should overwrite files generated by FNIS.

Y'know I had seen Nemesis brought up a few times, mostly in regard to Animated Armory, but I figured I'd have to just wait for mods that included new patches for old stuff or replacements to get the nemesis files for them. Well I'm a silly it seems, now I can finally try out Combat Behavior Overhaul while still keeping some of my older silly mods like the ultimate combat/dragon stuff.

...I say, and then Nemesis starts crashing every try. Welp so much for my optimism and stupidity.
By what I can tell, despite the FNIS overwrite being off and FNIS itself being off as well, it still crashes at around 66% and it'll still try to read some of the FNIS mods I was trying.
I just wanted to try Combat Behavior overhaul and get first person animated armory stuff to see if it works :S
So if I screwed up the Nemesis install or FNIS run, how would I debug, just straight up tear out Nemesis and put it back, or is this like... everything torn out and back in?

When you start adding Nemesis mods and rerunning the engine things get tricky. FNIS modifies the same meshes that Nemesis does and the two are so incredibly incompatible with each other. If Nemesis starts crashing on you, your only option is to reinstall your Nemesis animation mods (like CGO, Ultimate Dodge) after you run FNIS and try it again. I hope you use a good mod manager!

Mod Organizer 2, so arguably not the wrong answer for mod manager, but I suppose that's fair. Just using CGO and Animated Weapons alongside a collection of sexlab antics and other older mods. I also do Wrye Bash, should I wait to do the batch patches until after the animations considering things?.

Bash / Smash / etc have no effect on animations, it's only the overwrites in the left pane. Make sure Nemesis Output overwrites FNIS Output which overwrites all your animation mods. Careful with things like Bash and Smash. They're fine for smaller load orders but if you get about 50 ESPs you really need to be looking at things in xEdit because no automated tool can patch up your conflicts like you can. Even so, you've got to run LOOT first to apply the Bash tags and make sure they're correct, LOOT is basically just a message board of user reports which isn't 100% accurate. When I develop a modlist I always check every conflict by hand in xEdit, even the ones from USLEEP/USSEP. It's a major PITA but I save myself hours of crashes and undesirable effects!

I did every step like u said did run fnis normally but at first time running nemesis after fnis output is created i did choose update engine then wait to finish it the patch

and then check the mods ım using on the list which was ultimate combat and CGO then i choose launch nemesis but its crashed at 66 percent so i did reinstall my CGO then tryed all over again but this time its getting stuck at 99 percent and nothing happens so what should i do now.
