[SOLVED] All Radiant quests broken/ no mods/No Misc Quest dialogue

Hello everyone, my problem is that for whatever reason no miscellaneous dialogue shows up. This includes brawl quests, fetch quests and all others. Has anyone had this problem and figured out how to solve it? I would link my mod list but I have tried playing without mods (except alternate start) and the problem still persisted.

 

The only mods that are installed to my folder outside MO are enb, enboost, true 3dsound, fusrodoh and PSVAC. (Got rid of these too and reinstalled but the problem persists. Please help someone)

I don't want to rush you guys, but I have done everything I can think of. Clean install and everything, but those damn quests just won't show up.

I dont know about your issue, but if you play the game without any mods make sure you start a new game otherwise its pointless to play without mods as the script states are saved in the savegame and continue to presist so if a mod script was the cause just uninstalling wont help obviously. So for other guys that may know the issue and can help with the issue, but not know if you even have it on a clean game it might be good to know if you started a new game and really still have the issue, because then its a whole diffrent story then it is now.

If I had to guess I would say you didnt start a new game as I couldnt think of a reason why quests wouldnt show on a actual clean vanilla game or alternate start may cause a issue so you may try a other alternate start mod or go through the hassel of a vanilla start just to see if the issue presist so you can be sure its from a mod or not (other alternate start mod I use is "skyrim unbound"

 

If its really not working with a vanilla game and a new save game you should redownload the game as then something with the vanilla files is wrong which is rather unlikely

as you can see the cause can vary, but in every topic I founds its always a mod so as said if you say you tested it with a clean install make sure you test it with a clean vanilla game and as important a new save game even though the vanilla start is annoying.

I have removed all mods and all saves, cleaned and redownloaded the game twice, first from steam then from the disc. I have removed all appdata related to skyrim. I have even tried changing the game to french to see if it was somehow linked to the language, but the problem persists. All saves I have been trying to solve this with are vanilla, except for alternate start. I will try skyrim unbound to see if it is somehow related to alternate start,

Acid I don't know how or why but the problem seems to have gone away after uninstalling lternate start and installing unbound. This is a really weird bug as I have never had any issue with alternate start, but I'm just glad it seems to be gone. Thank you so much for suggesting it!

If you did all that all that is left is alternate start, I mean what could you do more then make everything vanilla and redownload clean files, might aswell start praying then as then its not mod related, not vanilla files related, not savegame related and well after that there is nothing left at least nothing I could think of if that doesnt help I hope someone else can think of something.

 

Edit: just saw your awnser yes its indeed a weird bug I also use alternate start sometimes as both mods have their advantages, but well if it works now I'm happy we found it after getting rid of literally everything else

Indeed, thanks for the help. I am reinstalling mod organizer now, so I hope replacing alternate start with unbound will continue to work. I really never would have thought that alternate start could be the problem, but something about that mod must no mesh well with my system or something.

You could edit the topic title and include [solved] would be good not many do it, but it saves others the time to read through a already fixed problem.

 

Edit: Well all alternate start mods manipulate the basic mainquest in some way so that may be the reason it somehow messed up the following quests which require the very first mainquest (the start) to be done

Sorry guys but its not really solved. By some secret bethesda magic It worked for this one user at this one moment.

 

The bug is persistent from 2013 and every time its another random mod. For some its The Choice is Yours, for some its LAL, for some (me including) it was Jobs of Skyrim.. but only once. Now bug jumped somewhere else I cant find..

And the craziest thing is that I created template save in the Abandoned Prison Cell, spend whole day installing and tweaking mods one by one, so I wouldn't have to do this every single restart, and start playing.. First run - 0 problems, but "I dont want to be a companion anymore! I want to be a hunter!" Started again from the template - bug. Made a clean save without JoS, cleaned everything - "Its Alive!" Reactivated JoS again and all keeps working, Redguards searching Saadia, Vigilant in Markarth.. "But I don't want to be a hunter anymore! I wanna be a wizard!"  ..and this time its somewhere else. Nothing works. From the same bloody starting save with the same mods!
