Its not from the code that makes the body disappear, its from the sprite since the file only holds the old one and thus its dimension size is small and lacks the other sprite positions.

I think they haven't heard from the maker of the original Viera mod on whether to work on the Sexbound mod or not.

my Viera Sexbound API is a bit buggy... floating heads and no heads at all... weird... same with the Kazdra but i deleted em.

Its not buggy, its just outdated and same goes to Kazdra as well, I haven't updated it since the author hasn't say anything yet and this support has been quite old at the start of Sexbound.

No clue though, no one usually made and/or publish it in publicly out of respect for the author since we tend not to do the "Its a free real estate" kind of modding anymore, we got into trouble on that in the past so we won't likely do that ever again, even if that author is no longer active for months/year now, dead mod should be stay dead as they said.

It is a shame one of the higher quality mod races will theoretically never be updated.

But as a content creator myself I do suspect if the mod author had an issue with this it would have already come up long ago. But thanks for your initial work, even though it's basically moot now.

I don’t see any reason to ask for a new permission for the mod, you got it, you made a mod, what's the problem? I’m not being rude and I don’t even want to start being rude, but I doubt that you will get permission in the coming months / years, so you better either update the mod or delete it.

Mod isn't dead, just check comments in the Steam page, the author has been working on it since last update even tho progress is slow, I'd give it a shot if there was an updated support for it

Theres a "Bunkin" race out from DrPvtSkittles, maybe thats a worthwhile replacement untill the viera developer does return activly, or atleast gives the lewd developers an answer?

Since there were no updates to this mod, I decided to start it myself. It turned out, modding isn't that hard, it just takes time to "update" the sprites.
Before I waste more nights on this, did anybody updated Viera sexbound patch themselves and didn't upload it because of lack of permission? Don't wanna do extra work if somebody already did it.

We already finish the update but no public download right now due to no words from the original race author so its stuck being outdated.

Ah, good thing that I asked. Strange that you guys need permission for update if the SxB patch is there already, did the author even gave permission for the first patch?
And btw, you can't send the updated patch in private, right?

this patch was 2 years old, back in that day we've made patch publicly without their permission although it didn't end well since some authors are upset/disappointed on we didn't reach them about the mod patches. And to answer the sending the updated patch in private, Not anymore, I'm no longer giving the privilage on who's who to be given and its gonna be unfair for others just like favoritism, if you want to get the updated patch, you have to join Spacecat Starbound Server.

Thank you very much for answering. I guess I already did what I wanted with Viera at this point, so I don't need the update that much. Though I'm kinda interested in that server now...

Sorry to bump an old topic, but are there any updates to what happened with this? The original mod author seems to have come back. Or is there a way to get the updated patch as I can't seem to find my way to the spacecats server.

It brings me great joy to finally see this updated. It was definitely worth dealing with a little social anxiety for. Also lol @ the disclaimer when I wake up groggy af, and can't immediately figure out the difference between the two files.
