Marriage quest no spouse status, FIXED!

What a relief

 

 

So Lydia's been BIJIN to me about not going to Sovngard

 

*applause*   TY TY

 

 

 

So i figured we'd get hitched, everything works fine, Riften, mara, ceremoney wait, attend the ceremonny, i do, and quest complete

 

But after that things don't seem right, there's no mention of where to live, though the only vanilla house i own so far is Breezehome, (elianora version) and her dialogue doesn't seem to change.

 

I read in the forum for Spouse Enhanced SE that the command sqv RelationshipMarriageFIN will show me REF 'LoveInterest' -> ??? where instead of ??? there will either be the ID code of an NPC indicating married status or NONE indicating that Im not married to anyone.

 

mine says none

It's like my dirty dark elf has just been USING poor Lydia all this time without any real interest!!! What will Mara think!!?

 

 

I remember getting married in oldrim was glitchy and recall doing.. some certain things with the ceremony / waiting and stuff to make it actually work, but i can't seem to figure that info out now, reloaded and redid the ceremony several times with the same results.

 

tried waiting til tomorrow inside the temple and at the bee and barb

 

tried dismissing lydia at breezehome (elianora version) and then starting the quest.. she showed up without clothes and bugged out as soon as i said "i do"

 

tried purchasing a house in riften

 

most of the console command workarounds i find have to do with marrying unmarriable people not fixing the quest and status. If there's a command that will actually update the married status i'd be happy with that.

 

also tried a new game this evening having removed all of the mods I thought might be impacting dialogue or marriage

 

maybe there's a marriage ceremony overhaul that will give me one that actually works?
