assassin394 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I have this two frustrating problem regarding save system with Oldrim. I have search google to find solution since 2013 but to no avail. If anyone can help me fix this I will send you 10$ steam gift card as a thank you gift. 1. Infinite loading when fast travel/ go through a door that trigger loading screen. This only happend when Auto save feature is on. I already applied skse.ini memory patch and install Safety load mod. .I know a lot of peoples suggested just turn off auto save and use manual save instead. But imagined when you clear through a long dungeon and forgot to manual save then died in combat or the game crash. Or accidentally kill a NPC....etc. There is so many possibility can happend in Bethesda games and forgot to save will result in have to replay through a very long season. So for me auto save/quick save feature is very necessary 2. Game freezing for 30-60 secs when quick save. This only happen if a quick save file already existed. The game will freeze when it trying to overwrite a old save file. If I delete a quick save and press F5 it will save normaly. After troubleshooting I identify the curpit is XPMSE mod. I asked the mod author about this but he say he didn't have a fix for this and suggest me to install a AutoSave Manager. But that mod didn't fix a problem. The game still infinite loading when travel with auto save on and freezing when quick save. I'm sorry for a wall of text. My english isn't good so I don't know how to explain it more brief. worik Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Autosave is often troublesome.... If you can play without it: do it! Endless Quicksave is also well known,... something because it has to overwrite the same file and where Bethasda made some stupid amateuer errors if I understood the reason correct. My game runs stabel, normal save is done in mere seconds, quicksave can take your 30-60. Watch out for the filesize though... if it grows beyond 30or 40MB it's often a bad indicator that something went terribly wrong. Be aware that some of your mentioned fixes like the memory patch and Safety load were good at their time, when they were developped. But they created some problems on their own. You might want to have a look at their successor "Crash fixes" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725 or https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2551-crash-fixes/ Anyway: take your tiime to read the descriptions carefully. Double important, if your english is no good. Better make sure you really understand what they say.
Grey Cloud Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Have you tried a save game cleaner such as Save Game Cleaner and Net Immerse Override Cleaner These will help with load times. You have a lot of armour and clothing mods installed. Do you really need them all in every game? Why make your game installation work harder than it has to? You can actually deselect XMPSE.esp if you are not using any of its animation features such as swords on the back etc. In other words if you only use it for the skeleton. Edit: Ninjad by Worik
Saraniamic Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Not sure about the quicksave crashes, but you can try Safety load for infinite loading screens.

assassin394 Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 Thank you everyone. Unfortunately, none of the method suggested above that I haven't try yet. My save files size is about 17mb. The problem also happend when starting a new game so I don't think it is save files related. I didn't have any of these issue with SSE but there is lots of Sexlabs mod for Oldrim I haven't played yet. I want to play Oldrim!!!

Start a new game with a small number of mods, play and then add mods a few at a time until the problem recurs. If you have tried Save Cleaner, how many scripts does it say you are running? My quicksave.ess is about 11.3Mb. I am running about 160 plug-ins and less than 200 mods. As you can see, I only have 19 active scripts.

They are obsolete and superseded by the combination of SKSE 1.7.3 built in memory allocation feature, SKSE Plugin Preloader, Crash Fixes and ENBoost. These new features work together and are complementary. Concerning your issue: 1. ILS (Infinite Loading Screen) main issue is caused by running out of space in the preallocated blocks. It means that the memory patch is not set high enough as countless users only think they have their memory patch well applied and never bother to verify if the settings are accurate for their own modded game to run well: Spoiler Default SKSE.ini recommended settings: [General] EnableDiagnostics=1 ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 [Memory] defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 scrapHeapSizeMB=256 Tweaked SKSE.ini settings for 2K and 4K textures: [General] EnableDiagnostics=1 ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 [Memory] defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1024 scrapHeapSizeMB=256 Settings explained and Important note: EnableDiagnostics=1 <= Activates the crash diagnostics for your game and shows which masterfile is missing when the game CTDs on startup. Lists also the missing files in the removed content dialog when loading a save. ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 <= Attempts to clean orphaned scripts from removed mods. iTintTextureResolution=2048 <= Updates the make-up to higher resolution. defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 <= The main Block1 memory fix. You can change the "DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768" to 1024 instead of 768 if you need to, but be aware that allocating too much memory in this value WILL cause your game to crash. If the game doesn't start with high Block1 values set ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false in enblocal.ini. scrapHeapSizeMB=256 <= The size of Block2. That one should never go over 256MB unless a new patch information is discovered. ENBoost by Boris Vorontsov Guide:ENBlocal INI/Memory Use Skyrim Performance Monitor to keep an eye on VRAM usage. You will need to set up the SPM in order to use it by opening the setup section, and putting the correct file paths in. MO users will need to point the Launcher section towards MO instead of the SKSE, or default skyrim launcher. 2. You must be certain that the SKSE.ini is really an .ini file and not a simple SKSE.ini.txt to work well.3. Other reason that ILS can occur is related to troubles loading texture and 3D geometry data. 4. Some users are confonding ILS with LTLS (Long Time Loading Screen) when having a lot of texture mods to load and/or certain combinations of settings in ENBoost and heavy mod load out. Each of them can lead to loading screens taking much longer than expected. 5. Improve your game experience: changing some components like texture quality settings on a lower range - whether for your installed mods or in your enblocal.ini file, and optimizing the shadow settings can drasticaly improve you game performances. Shadows are one of the biggest killers of performance for Skyrim. This guide* is a good starting point. Don't forget to backup your original SkyrimPrefs.ini file before applying these tweaks: INSS Improved New Skyrim Shadows for Low-Range PC INSS Improved New Skyrim Shadows for Medium-Range PC * INSS Improved New Skyrim Shadows for Ultra Settings
Uncle64 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 He can also try and add this mod. Works fine whit EnbBoost/crashfixes. It will make the loading process more stable. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85443 Load Game CTD Fix Make sure that you also have as told in the tread SKSE Plugin Preloader. Need to add on @Fifoo post and numbers 1 and 4. Make sure that you have those settings. When you have many stuff that needs to load, give the game time to load. My game can take up to 3-4 minutes to load since it needs to read 100+ gig data whit grafic and stuff. And that is after I have waited 2 minutes for the startup until I can load one save. Runs fully stable after that. Hmm I think I need to get one faster drive.

Unfortunately the infinite loading screen problem still existed. I have Crash fixes install, doubled check and make sure skse.ini memory patch is working. Switch from 2K texutre mod to lite version. Beside, I don't think crash is the problem here. The game is pretty stable. I can play for 2-3 hours without any crash. And infinite loading only occurred when auto save on travel is set to ON in gameplay option menu.. So I think there is something related to save feature make the ILS occured and not because run out of memory. One other note is the auto save working fine before, no ILS. I didn't install/uninstall mods or making any change to the Skyrim setup. Only thing I did is moving Skyrim and mods folder from SDD to HDD because I'm running out of free space on SDD.
Uncle64 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 You can delete that old mod, it is superseaded by the one suggested by me. It did also did make trouble for some players (Me included). As he also mention on his page. Oh, you have moved your from Super fast SSD to slower HDD, that is one issue, not that bad but you will have longer loading times, more or less the same as I have. Even if I have one of the fastest HDD you can get. You can turn off Autosaves, but then you must learn to make hard saves often. Question how do you install your mods, what tool do you use? I do come around the performance issue whit using MO, then I can put files on several of physic disks. And have done some changes in the ini files.
