Apropos dialog not working

Hiya there.

 

I've just realised that i'm not getting the left hand pane 'dialog' comments from apropos very often - if at all.

 

wear and tear works, and triggers comments when it changes levels - I'm just not getting the commentary during the sex scenes.

 

I assume this is a config issue i've overlooked somewhere - any tips on where to start looking?
