ZeroWalker Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Need a bit of help in away. I like playing Skyrim SE becuse it feels it runs smoother than oldrim mostly becuse well it´s 64bit but man it oldrim has more more mods than SE has. So if I go back to oldrim may I ask you guys. What standard mods would you recommend to make oldrim look great with out having 100 mods also what face/body textures would you recommend to get good looking characters ? Reason I ask for this help is im out of ideas what ever mods I seam to pick I never seem to get it look quite right. This is the best i manage to make my character look with UNP renewal and ECE and HD lips and ks hair but man it feels so sub par like total crap compared to what you guys can make.
V The Heretic Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Well, it's all based on personal preference. A lot of people who mod, and spend a lot of time modding, spend hours upon hours on modding. -Racemenu or ECE -CBBE, UNP, or ALL-IN-ONE -What skin textures? -2k or 4k resolution of the skin textures. -ENB -etc. It's all up to preference preference. I use Racemenu with ALL-IN-ONE CBBE HDT Vagina body with Fair skin complexion, [looks better with female SOS] with 4k textures on my character. Then I run Project Reality ENB with DeferredShadows higher than normal to fade out some of the shadows and make them less block. KS HDT Hairdos and Seductive HD lips and Runic Eyes. But it doesn't stop there, a lot of people also spend time modding with 2k-4k textures of the environment and objects. However, it's just all personal preference.

There are a lot of mods that over haul big portions of Skyrim. I run about 280 some odd mods right now. However, maybe about 50 of those mods are "environmental" over haul mods. It all depends on what you use.

Literally, right now. I love my oldrim. I wouldn't say endless possibilities, but you have options and the preference can be there. It's just the pain of digging through what you are looking for and hoping to find it.

I know but yeah after spending 4-5 yesterday to mod old rim about 90 mods and allot of mods that was recommended to make oldrim run smoothly with less cdt and such I did run loot than TSVedit with almost 0 warings and a total of 0 errors and I did run fnis . I start up the game everything is fine but as soon as I left the indoors CDT and I was like nope im not in the mod or have the energy to find the error so today I spent almost all days looking for mods and so for SE I just want skyrim to look decent and my charater to look awesome but mostly I just wanna play Bruma and Maids II. With SE I seam never to have any CDT problems.

V The Heretic Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Yeah. It seems like that your GPU is being chewed up if you went graphics heavy. Just food for thought remember, the more mods you get, you need to step down the size of the textures. 4k mods take up a lot of space for the GPU and the more the mods you pile on, especially script heavy, you'll need to lower the texture quality, so 2k would be viable. I have to do that due to you know 280 mods.
Guest Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Funny-Interesting you brought that up, because it's very pertinent to me. My 2-gig card died, in such a way that it freezes up the entire PC even if it's not hooked up to anything, so I had to give up and use my 1-gig card. Same mods, same settings (mostly), and you probably already know that those glamorous people get expensive software makeovers (at least I think they do). My game seems to work fine, just slightly slower lately, but not so's you'd really notice. There's hope, don't give up! Or just buy a really nice modelling program... After I wrote this I went into a cave and took a selfie
