RIZER Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Hey everyone, Am currently up to date with all Game updates and have had to limit or fully remove Mods that previously worked on my PC without dropping FPS. Have even had to down grade from Ultimate Settings to Med or lower just to play Vanilla game, which even then now drops to less than 10FPS outside of Diamond City at times. Wondering if anyone else has had this type of issue or if there is a way to check to see if I have files that need to be manually deleted to lower amount of things being used to get mods and such to work like they were before all this started. Will state that this all started happening last August and Beth help desk has been as usual FUBAR in there willingness to help solve this issue. Drop me a PM if able to help. AN PLEASE none of the BS about buy a new PC. Thanks ahead for any help or suggestions.
Gameplayer Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 My first thought is that you might have installed the "High Res Texture Pack" This DLC is free and Ive heard that sometimes it will be installed automatically on new installation. These of course are quite a leap ahead of the Skyrim High Res Pack, so expect low FPS with them installed. Next there are some issues with certain mods that Ive come across, cant remember the names of the specific mods at the moment but as I recall I had issues with - a more bandit faces mod - a high res face mod, like 2 or 4K something face As far as I know ShadowBoost hasn't been updated... Fallout 4 Configuration Tool - By Bilago https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/ The above link will take you to a tool for working with your INI files and give you access to certain modifications that are only normally available by directly typing in the exact phrase needed in the INI cause a lot of them are absent. I've used it myself and got great results basically better FPS with more stuff but I have a good computer so your results may vary from mine, overall most comments on the file are overwhelmingly positive. Also another thought, stay clear of "Scrap Everything" and any mod that turns off the Precombined Meshes....Its literally a crapshoot...Basically by removing this feature your getting the ability to remove more stuff from settlements BUT your breaking an FPS saving feature to be allowed to do that! It saves tons of FPS having Precombined turned on. ALL Mods that add lands, change enviroments have to have the Precombined rerun in the Construction Kit, and Im not entirely sure how that's done but I'd be wary about large scale changes done to area's in the game unless the mod author is claiming having done this step. I'd also like to tell you to not use Graphix, its literally a shitty mod but its the number one graphics overhaul on Nexus but its still shit beyond all belief.

Thanks for the idea's and advice, However do not have the Hi Res DLC installed. Was one of the lucky ones who got to opt out of it while the initial glitch was auto installing it ( Thank God ) Will look into the Mod by Bilago and see if it helps. honestly think its still one of the Updates from last summer/fall that came out that started it all.
