DD Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 So i'm trying to convert the latest release of goma's bikinis but since they use texture sets there is just one mesh, with the original meshes the texture sets work just fine in game but when i convert them to CBBE it just stops working, they stay the same color. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, do you have to do something different in Outfit studio when the mesh uses texture sets? or do i need to change something in the .esp? If someone could enlighten me please
SuperNixon Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Make sure the parts in the nif are the same as the original outfit. When you load it in outfit studio you see stuff like body, bra, and panty. Sometimes when you change the body to a new reference you change the order so from top to bottom you have bra, panty, body whereas before you had with the original nif body, bra, panty. When Skyrim goes to assign the texture (other than the one the nif uses natively) and the order is changed it assigns textures to the wrong parts. You can also change this in the esp with tes5edit. Go to armor addon for the mod and find a part using the alternate texture. Under female world model there's the alternate texture section and under that is 3d index and a number. The number indicates what part of the model gets the alternate texture. I'm not sure how the numbering works though so I just make sure the parts in outfit studio are the same before saving. Hopefully this helps. If not maybe someone will see my rambling and make sense of it.

I never would have guessed that the order of the meshes affected the texture sets hahaha
