Crossbows/Rifles without Dawnguard?

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but has there been any discussion on being able to use crossbows and rifles without getting Dawnguard? I've seen some really cool designs pop up since it came out, but I've honestly got no real desire to play with Vampires for an extra $20. Really, I just want those sweet crossbows and Dwarven rifles. It seriously can't be that difficult to implement something without the expansion can it?

it can be that difficult. the reason why that is nearly impossible to make is because you can't add new animations in the CK w/o overwriting new ones or creating a new race. it is the same reason for why there are no spear mods like the one from gamejam.

Thanks. Thought about that actually after I posted but I appreciate the response. Shame I guess, but maybe I'll learn a better appreciation for Sky-light .

that only works for idle animations.

well now, that seems like something that someone with the know-how should look into

I don't really think someone with the "know-how" will go through the process of reverse engineering the dlc and then trying to implement the crossbow mechanics + animations into vanilla skyrim when it would probably be easier and less time consuming to just buy the DLC.

 

I'd rather have someone with those modding skills work on something new and innovative than on something that Bethesda already did.

I didn't mean he damn crossbow animation, I have Dawnguard, I ment MORE animations
