Reniastyc Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Hey friends, I got a trouble. When I wanna make a mod, I need to use the SKSE Function "SetNthEffectMagicEffect", I found it in Spell.psc. But when I use the function, it told me that is not a function or doesn't exist. How can I use it? Thank you for your helping.
Guest Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 You have to be sure you put all the Scripts and Source folder of the SKSE installation in the Skyrim\Data\ directory. Get SKSE as 7zip file, unzip it, and then move the Scripts folder inside Skyrim\Data\ folder. Of course, overwrite everything. Restart CK and you should be able to compile such scripts.

And how should I deal with the Special Edition? Just Moving files like that?
Guest Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Of course you need SKSE64 files, in this case. But, yes, it is about the same. In case you never unzipped the Scropts.rar file, then probably you have to unzip it BEFORE extracting the SKSE files. This is valid for both Skyrim and SSE.

I unzip the Scripts.zip and move the folder Source to the D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Source then I unzip SKSE64 and move the folder Scripts to D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Source\Scripts. and I did overwrite everything but I still cannot use the function. I am a freshman, could you please tell me how to move the files exactly?
Guest Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Technically you moved them to the correct places. In the evening I will try to get another look and let you know.
