CrimsonOmegaLance Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Just switched from Skyrim to Oblivion because I've heard that Oblivion just has better and more complete mods. I played Oblivion on the Xbox360, but I just got it for the computer and I'm wondering what good mods are out there. I also realized OblivionNexus is nowhere near as comprehensive as SkyrimNexus, so I'm wondering where more Oblivion mod sites are. (I wish LL could emulate Nexus in mod findability) Thanks.
johneb Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Have you tried the LL Oblivion mod download sections? The Lab has a virtual plethora of mods and links to mods. You should sightsee awhile. You can probably find some stuff here you'd like for Skyrim as well:P
CrimsonOmegaLance Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 Hey I realized my original post is kinda bad as I'm asking for help without seeming to do any research myself. I started a list of the mods I want to start off with, wondering if you guys have seen/recommend any better mods.
Ark of Truth Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 This one is needed for your female companions. http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=7990&highlight=DMRA
CrimsonOmegaLance Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 HGEC with BBB isn't good enough for my female companions? Just wondering what the difference is between HGEC and DMRA and why I should choose DMRA over HGEC if a lot of mods are made for HGEC (sorta like CBBE and UNP in Skyrim). I'm about to start downloading and installing (and debugging *the fun part*) everything now, I have a pretty complete basic list that I'll slowly add in to make sure everything works.

CrimsonOmegaLance Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Muahahahahaha, everything worked on my first try! Hooray for readmes! Now I'm off to break my game with PKLoversMod. edit: annnnnd wrye bash just saved me 2 hours for the first time. also, I'm not sure if any of you have installed FCOM (I'm sure you have), but if any of you could answer why my Wrye Bash 'unchecks' the FCOM installation box (along with MMM, OOO, OCW, All Natural, and some others). It didn't uninstall them because they're still functioning in-game, but they all are unchecked in my installation tab. Call it my picky nature but why are some checked and some not? edit 2: Only error was that motion #197 couldn't be found, check ini for .kf 8. Any idea on how to fix it/redirect to a page where this has been solved before? edit3: I have motion 197 installed in my .ini folder, but it still comes up with the error. Anybody know what the '.kf 8' thing means? I see no problems as of right now, probably I'll get to an animation somewhere that doesn't work, but the game still runs now. edit: If I have a Hotkeys mod, and if I hotkey my numbers (which is generally a good thing to do given how close they are to your fingers), is there anyway I can change the numbers that alter the positions of the attacker/defender(instead of 1-0 could i change it to keypad1 to keypad0)?
Guest Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Welcome to the oblivion section! A great overhaul mod similar to FCOM that you could try is WAC (Waalx's Animals and Creatures). It's an excellent mod that adds plenty of new NPCs, items, and creatures that are all very well done and creative! Plus the Arena gets a pretty awesome overhaul as well. It's also a helluva lot easier to install than FCOM. It can be found here (you'll need to register.
