bdumbly1 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I try to start NMM and it keeps crashing saying it encountered an error and needs to close. I've attached the tracelog.
icecold29 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Log: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Means you have a missing mod against the list of installed mod.. {I think..} Try Removing files inside C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Skyrim loadorder.txt plugins.txt Move them somewhere anywhere and then restart NXM to generate a new list and order..
bdumbly1 Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 ty. I figured it out. i run skyrim through SKSE and i have a few mods installed using steam. So when i ran the steam launcher to check the data folder it redownloaded all those mods. So i had multiple .bsa files in the data folder. Another way to fix it is to open up the trace log in my documets>Nexus mod manager and find the latest tracelog at the bottom of the list. Click the top of the list then hit ctrl-f to search. Search for IsNull=True. Anything that has that needs to be deleted from the data folder. Check to make sure it's the .esp OR the .bsa. for me it was the .bsa! Thank you for the help
