BigSword Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted this bug at the nexus and got no reply so I might as well try here to. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/766947-mounted-combat-rh-weapon-swing-bug/page__p__6128941#entry6128941 During mounted combat when I swing with a weapon by just clicking the mouse M1 (left hand) and M2 (right hand) buttons, the weapon swings fine. However, If I hold the M2 button my character gets stuck in the swing position. What makes this confusing is that if I hold the M1 button my character does the delayed swing fine, it only creates the frozen animation bug for the right handed swing. I know that I was able to delay swing fine prior to updating to dawnguard. Also I tried with all horse and combat mods disabled and I still get the same bug. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I extracted the animation files from the latest and past bsa updates and found these files which I think might be related to it: mc_1hm_chargeloop_r.hkx, mc_1hm_chargepre_r.hkx, mc_1hm_chargerelease_r.hkx, horsebehavior.hkx However, I've tried dropping these into my skyrim directory and I still get the same bug. I have tried with all animation and horse mods disabled, and have removed all defaultmale/female.hkx files. But still no good, anybody...help??
greenquesadilla Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 is your character a vampire? if so, i have the same problem. however, i also have the problem where mounted melee combat attacks never hit my target. instead, they just phase through them. what fixed it for me was simply not being a vampire anymore, but that is lame and a pretty bad fix.

[/quote'] Nope I'm not a vampire. I'm using a nord female character. Hmm I might try changing sex/race through console and see if I get any new result. But I still don't get why it only happens for the right handed swing and not the left. Bizarre...
BigSword Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 UPDATE SOLVED!! Well I had to rollback the skyrim update and do some testing, but eventually I was able to pin point the conflict as being of all things a hair mod WTF? I'm not sure how a hair mod conflicts with mounted combat, but in my case it was this hair colour mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14713 Looks like I'm going to need a new colour slider, any mods anyone can recommend for skin and hair colours ?
